I am having green tea with jasmine today. I haven't make a goodie to go with it yet and my tea box craft is strung across the kitchen counter unfinished, as I am watching Sweet P play with paint! While I was posting an earlier comment, she painted her feet! Fun times!

It was so easy. I used TBBM2 cartridge. I want to get some more small flowers like I used in the teabox and decorate the cup with it. Or, I might just cut some flowers and roll them to accent. I was just playing with this one and didn't have time to embellish it yet.

Susan, do you have a pattern you can share for this? I love the idea!

Susan
I usually carry a few teabags and some Sweet 'n Low in my purse. They're just loose and they really get battered around in my bag. This is such an adorable little tea holder! A perfect solution and attractive way to carry teabags. I think you should make hundreds of these and sell them on Ebay or something similar. I'd buy one!

Thank you all for the kind comments on my tea wallet. Now I'm thinking I need to crochet some big tablecloths too to be able to set such a lovely tea party as Sharon's!

Sorry, not a pattern but really all it is:

I crocheted a chain of 21, then did rows of single crochet until it was the size I wanted for the wallet (folded over of course). Then for the flap I just did chain 3, and then single crochet connect it skipping one single crochet in the row before, so that it forms the scallop loop. Then I did that across until I reach the end of that row, then turn and two single crochet into the first loop, then chain 3 and connect it with a single crochet into the next loop, etc. across that row, then keep doing that (it decreases each row) until I get the final loop.

Then stitched on two small crocheted flowers and buttons. Stitched up the two sides.

Lovely tea box. It reminds me of a vintage box that would be placed in a Victorian sitting room where the ladies would meet for tea. Where did you find the papers? You must have a very specialty focused scrapbook / paper store in your area. I don't think I could find anything like that here in my area.

I'm not sure how you'd keep up on the chatter thread on it on a blog, but I guess it would work the same pretty much. We fill several pages on here with just a few of us so I can't imagine a blog list!

Most of the time I order my papers online from Scrapbook.com or 2 Peas in a Bucket. However, I do have a marvelous scrapbook store about 5 miles from me called SHE scrapbooks. She does specialize in very nice papers or can order them for you. In fact, Tim Holtz will be teaching a class there in 2 weeks and I managed to snag 2 of his classes. I can hardly wait!!!

Dell!
When I say the tiny, thumbnail picture posted I thought it was a real tea cup! Yes, I agree with you, I can see this at a special event with Chocolate pieces in it.

Our local community college has a 'teddy bear tea' as a fund-raiser every year. I think this tea cup at every place setting would be so cute! The teddy bear tea is a mother/daughter event. It is very popular. I now a couple of mothers who have taken their daughters to this for several years in a row.

Oh, that sounds like fun! Yes, you could use these cups to put at every place setting. And, oh btw, not sure if you have a Cricut or not but they have a new cartridge called Teddy Bear!

If we make these teapots for the tea, they all have to be cut out by hand!

Dell
What cute little gingerbread people. I haven't had or even seen real gingerbread people since I was a young girl (many moons ago). And they are very delicious! I hope you don't mind, I actually had 3, they're small and I couldn't resist.

Here's one that I didn't know either:

Which of the following is not a name for a class of tea?
RED TEA
YELLOW TEA
BLUE TEA
PURPLE TEA

So have any of you tried the Numi Tea Pu-ehr? I know I asked the other day and I think Sharon responded, but was wondering now that more of you are here, if anyone else has...

I was curious about them, saw them at a store and they claim higher antioxidants than green tea even....

I think it's Earl Grey. At least that's my favorite.
I sure hope you don't tell me it's Lipton!

Another to test your TEA knowledge!

What is the primary differentiator between tea types, such as white, green or black?

Country of origin
The type of plant they were harvested from
Processing techniques
Harvest season
