I'll be posting what I'm having on my blog this week:
Lemon & Poppy Seed Bread from the book, Afternoon Tea Serenade! YUMMY! It's like a Lemon Pound Cake. A new recipe for me!
Here is my craft. I crocheted a little wallet type of bag, with crocheted flowers and buttons on it as well. Its about 4"x4.5", but I made it to hold some tea bags and a couple of other little items in it as a gift.
Note -- I can't take full credit for this idea... Christina made me a cute little similar tea wallet last year and sent it to me and I keep it in my big tote.

Okay, you all know how I love to alter items. Especially, boxes. Here is my newly altered teabox. I even made the teacup embellishment that is on the top. I used microbeads with glitter and glued down to a teacup pattern I cut from a group of images I purchased years ago. I painted the teabox and aged it with distress ink. I glued down all the additional goodies using Mod Podge (love this stuff) and put a coat over the distress ink to seal it.
OH! Its such a good thing for me that this is virtual!!! Oh the temptations!

HOW PRETTY Susan!!!!!!! WISH I could Crochet like that! I have to have an instruction booklet at my side when I'm crocheting for every little stitch! LOVE the colors & the little flowers too!
Here is a recipe I used for my recent tea recipes swap. I found it online, and my daughter makes these regularly though I think she also adds a white chocolate candy coating to half.
Lavender Biscotti
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp. dried lavender blossoms
2 large eggs
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
2 tsp. grated lemon zest
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. In a food processor, combine sugar and lavender blossoms. Process until lavender is finely chopped. Transfer sugar mixture to a large bowl and add eggs. Beat until thick (about 2 min.). Add butter, lemon zest, and vanilla and beat until combined. Slowly add flour mixture and mix with a wooden spoon until well combined. Dough will be soft and sticky.
Shape half the dough into a 10” long log that is 3” wide, on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Repeat with the other half on another cookie sheet. Bake 20 min. or until golden crisp (center will still be soft). Remove from oven. Reduce heat to 300°F. Cool logs 10 min.; slice with a serrated knife into ½” slices. Place slices (cut side up) onto cookie sheets and bake another 15 min. or until crisp and brown. Remove cookies and let cool. Store in an airtight container and eat within two weeks.
AWESOME, Dell! Love it! I love the way microbeads dress things up!

It takes so long to upload these photos!! Here is one of my tea table with centerpiece, one of my pumpkin bars, and one of me having my tea! I love teaparties.

Here is the inside of the box. Again I used Mod Podge to glue down the papers and seal it. I am pretty happy with how this turned out. I will try and do a video to post on my blog later today.
Oh Sharon! I love that centerpiece! And I love the idea of the church Christmas tea. Maybe I will do that here. I run the ladies ministry meetings here, and we rotate who hosts each month and what we do, etc. Hmmm, I may have to pick December and do just that here at my house!

So, I'm going to go ahead and post here my project. I really like how it turned out; it's just my cup of tea - teacups and stickpins!
OH, I missed a lot while I was loading the photos! Dell, how pretty! And Susan, how creative you are! All my stuff is just paper! ( except the pumpkin bars). I did try to make an apron out of an old skirt with teapots all over it, but ran out of time. Next time?

Sharon, you are so lovely sitting there and love your table!!! Those pumpkin bars look yummy! Is that a filling inside them? You must share the recipe!
This is another recipe I used recently for recipe swap. These are so easy and quick, but turn out looking elegant with the berries and mint leaf.
Lemon Berry Surprise Cupcakes
1 box lemon cake mix
Oil, eggs, water as the box mix requires
Lemon frosting (store bought)
Fresh berries, whatever is in season and available
Mint leaves (fresh, optional garnish)
Preheat oven and prepare cake mix as the box
directs. Fill muffin cups halfway with batter.
Add 3-5 berries to the center of each muffin.
Cover with the rest of the batter. Bake as directed.
After they have cooled, ice with lemon frosting.
Top with a few fresh berries and a mint leaf.
Here is the inside of the box. Again I used Mod Podge to glue down the papers and seal it. I am pretty happy with how this turned out. I will try and do a video to post on my blog later today.
Wow, nice! That is exactly what I'm working on right now! I have had a wooden tea box that I don't really care the appearance of. I've taken it apart and distressed it. Now I am putting together papers I love to cover it and then will stain around the edges. We'll see...

LOOOOOOOOOOOVE the INSIDE TOO!!!!!!!!! LOVE those images!!!!!!! This will make a SUPER GIFT for someone! (OR a SUPER GIFT for yourself that EVERYONE will DROOOL OVER! LOL) !
On the tea boxes, are you first painting them with any sealer or anything or just with the paint color you want to start with? I wondered if I need a base coat or sealer of any kind on them... Would like to make some.
Wow!! That is one of the coolest tea pots and cup I have ever seen! I love your little tea pot teabag holder. What a great little "pick me up" card that would make for a friend who is sick or just feeling down.

We will have to make a hundred of them.

Finally, I cut with my Cricut machine and using Teresa Collins paper this cute little paper teacup. I was just experimenting but I can see where I will be making more of these using Christmas papers and placing goodies inside them for gifts!
I made my recipe for pumpkin bread and froze it. Then the filling is only:
1 can for whole berry cranberry sauce
11 oz. of cream cheese
Mix together. It was my idea to freeze bread because I thought it would be easier to cut. LOL Anyway slice rounded top off. Then slice length wise.
Then cut bars. Put the cream cheese mixture in between. Is that clear as mud? My DH loved them!
Thank you for all your kind comments everyone!

You set a beautiful tea table. Reminds me of the times I've been to one of those fancy English hotels that have an afternoon tea. Love the lace table cloth. The picture of you pouring tea is just terrific.
