Default Discounts for Disney?

We're planning to visit DW while in Orlando. Does anyone know where I can get discount tickets? Thanks!

The show is offering discount tickets - one price after 2 pm and other price for after 4 pm. It was in a post but I don't remember where. Someone will know but they are offered :-)

Usually the hotel you stay in will offer discounts as well if you purchase the tickets there.

Are you a Florida resident or affiliated with the military?

If you are, send a PM to me so that I can send an email to you with Disney discount info. Also, if you are affiliated with police/fire department, etc., you may also be eligible for discounted tickets (deep discounts).

ETA: I only have info about military (active or retired, resident of any state) offers. Traditionally, when a military offer is made, there is usually some firefighter/pd offers as well. Call Disney if you need info for firefighters/pd. They are super helpful on the phone!

Here is a link to the Florida Resident page on Disney's website:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/florida-residents/

Oh, and if you are an educator in Florida (or work in the school system), then I can send you info for discounts (free) to Universal and Sea World.

Smile disney info

try this site:

www.mousesavors.com

for some key ideas

for general info on the WDW try:

www.laughinplace.com
www.mouseplanet.com

these are sites i go to to get some news about WDW.

I have gone several times and I can say that finding cheap tickets is a challenge but if you book your hotel and ticket together it is easier. the paper tickets are a pain when dealing with the park and park hoppers...I feel a park hopper is a need to get the most out of your visit.

Usually when you attend a conference in Orlando Disney offers a couple of discounts to attendees. Last summer at a conference there were two discounts - one was an "after 2pm" discount and the other was an "after 4pm" discount. They allow you to go to DW after your conference sessions. We bugged out early on one day for the 2pm disc. and used the after 4 on a day when we wanted to stay at the conference, but we also made sure that our 4pm ticket was on a day when the park we wanted to attend was open till midnight.

As I remember the discounts were available from the conference host agency site. But you may be able to get them through the Disney website too. There was also something about doing them far enough in advance to be mailed but there was a way to have them at a will call or pick up window.

That said, I did weeks and weeks of searching and never found any kind of discount that was worth pursuing.

Have a wonderful time.....and btw if you have an evening open for dinner....go to Boma at Animal Kingdom. They have the best food with lots of interesting choices as well as "plain" food. It has been an outstanding point of lots of trips by people I know.
