My mom claims I was not named after thar song but I wonder....

I have bad memories of that song, a friend used to randomly call me between 2 and 4 a.m and sing that song when I would answer, haha

I think I would change my number and not be friends with someone who did that... Or just take my phone off the hook.

I always thought it would be romantic for a guy to learn the song and serenade me with it.... And then I grew up and married a guitar player who is tone deaf when it comes to singing... Go figure.

I have to bake a cake for my last cake class this month. And I need to make sure I have enough flowers to cover it. Nothing like waiting unitl the last minute right?

I want to clean up/off my desk and bring some order to my world.

After I get those things done, I can start thinging about the Newbie swap I signed up for. I'm excited, but still a little nervous.

Tracy, do you have any recomendations on where to go for buying primas? I want to get some, but I'm too impatient to buy from micheals with my weekly coupon.

LOL! Michaels is where I was going to recommend for a quick fix. I haven't ordered any off line except for Prima shares, but I haven't heard of any laterly.

A Prima share is when a host list what flowers will be purchased and how she will split each of the containers for a set price. So instead of buy one bottle of Primas you could actually get flowers from four different bottles for around the same price.

Hi to Michelle and Michelle!

Nice to meet more Alaskan stampers! We had such a fun time at Tracy's place the other day! It was so fun to just put some ink to paper and we had such a great time chatting!

Hope to host one of these fun stamping times and meet up with you too, Michelle.

Good Morning Alaska!

No real plans for the day, which for some odd reason is making me soooo happy. Have a few stamp projects that I need to finish up along with starting to get out my St Patty's cards to the lower 48. Think I'll read for awhile today, I may even throw in some laundry.lol Hope you all have a wonderful day.

I have an appointment with my insurance agent. You know... REview time. YAY!

However, last night I was at Micheals (the one in mountainview) for my cake deco class. After class I I was doing soe shopping and they had their some of their primas marked down to $4.99. Which is almost half price for the store. I went ahead and grabbed a bunch so I was happy to not have to pay shipping at least.

That's great news! In the big box stores I only buy them when they are clearanced or on sale, since that does happen more often than not. I do however pay full price for them at the lss, since they usually have ones not carried in the big box stores.

Oh man I got sucked into the black hole. Youngest ds was complaining he couldn't find any clean pants to wear...weird considering there hasn't been any in the dirty clothes. Go up stairs to investigate and find him wearing DIRTY jeans, which of course gives me just enough of a push towards the black hole that I'm sucked in and out of my mind crazy for an hour and a half! That's time I'll never get back! Go through his closet several pairs of jeans hanging up in the closet, go figure, but what is catching my attention is all the crap I'm having to step on to get to the closet! So end up doing a 10 minute tidy in his room, mind you it's still not clean, just removed enough crap from the floor to do a load of laundry and hung up posters that they had on the floor. Why must I buy them posters that they CAN'T live without if they are going to distory them by not hanging them!? So then I get stuck in the laundry room, since all the clean clothes minus mine of course are still in there waiting to be folded and put on hangs, so I go ahead and do all of these brats piles, while the washer is already going with yet another load that will be left there by these capable kids just for me to do it again...and they wonder why I won't give them allowances anymore. Well then I made the mistake and hung my DD's clothes on her bedroom door, where to my amazement, NOT, her room was still a pig pen after being told daily to pick it up! Which mind you she let me know yesterday it was almost done. ha ha ha That's right, I grabbed a pile of CLEAN clothes from her floor and took them to my room once again and hung them on hangers and put them in the current pile of other confiscated clothing of hers. Then went back in for more punshiment and filled a Target sack with trash...including food related items which isn't allowed upstairs! Well she has already been given a verbal warning if this behavior continues she won't be able to live here after she graduates this year...think it's getting close to a written notice now! So much for a stress free happy day.lol Must go downstairs now and stamp something before my brain explodes.

What does getting pinned mean?

I know all about the messy room syndrome. My son never really had attachments to "stuff" so when he would clean his room, he would grab garbage bags and throw eveything away. When he got old enough, we decided that he was making a decision and so if he was going get rid of stuff, we would honor that. We used to take the bags and hold on to them because it was stuff we paid $ for and I didn't want to throw away my $. And so I also stopped buying stuff that would end up getting ditched. Soon he didn't have much and his room was much, much cleaner all the time, haha! He never seemed to miss any of his stuff - go figure, he's a minimalist.

My daughter was always messy until she got married. Her husband's mom really is a germophob and would spend all day, everday, scrubbing their house. He grew up with everything spic and span. He's normal but likes a reasonably neat home. She learned really quickly to clean up in order to keep the peace. I wonder why she wasn't interested in keeping the peace with ME when she was a teen?!! Haha

Sorry, apparently I missed this last night! My husband is getting a promotion. He is an E6, he is getting E7. They used to have rank that pinned on the uniform.(Before they switched uniforms to baggy over sized things that make everyone look fat and use Velcro to attach everything) They usually have a ceremony to give someone their new rank and they used to pin the rank on. Hence, getting pinned. Getting pinned is just a way of saying he is getting that new rank.

Anyone here Pampered Chef fans? I'm considering having a party. There are a few tempting items in the new spring products I've seen. I'd hate to leave someone out.

Hi guys! What a busy few weeks...we're still making our way through boxes plus working on top of it. I had a chance to get to Palmer's Stamp Cache yesterday, though. I can't wait to finish unpacking and start stamping/scrapping again!

I like my parties on the weekend, so if you typically don't work on the weekend shouldn't be a problem.

I am glad to see you back here. I was starting to wonder what happened to you!
