LOL! We were there four hours, but they actually don't close until 9pm, so we could have stayed another 4 hours. Grant you they would have to wake Bob and I up.lol
Finally finished the binding on my sisters quilt. Layered it with rickrack to cover all my boo boos, but does look cute. Also finished a mini wall quilt for a friend today...hope it cheers her up. Off to finish hubbys grandmothers, front is done just need to actually quilt layers together and add binding, ugh those bindings drive me nuts. Need to start cutting for the next projects on my list while the sewing mood is hot and heavy.
We have a house guest, just got back from a deployment not to mention the extra kiddos running around here while a single solider is trying to find a place to stay...no housing available, no lodging on Ft Richardson available and vehicle hasn't arrived yet. Keep your fingers crossed for them, sure their stress levels have to be high right about now.
Ahh... Family left on Wednesday and it was probably a perfect vacation. Phil goes back to summer school on tuesday. and I am on a crocheting streak. I think I could really enjoy crocheting and knitting...

I signed up for my first SU! Regionals tonight...here in Anchorage on the August 27th. Any other demos on this thread going?
Watching Alice in Wonderland.lol Kids are eating lunch and hoping they will go outside to play afterwards so I can have some quite time. Hope everyone is enjoying the sunny warm weather.
Just looked up fireweed jelly recipes since we have been seeing tons of the flowers out. Looks pretty easy to make so think the family needs to grab a basket and go pick some flowers.

Excellent!!!!! Can't wait to see what you made for your swap! Make sure you take an address book - so you can get EVERYONE's info!!!!!!!! Obviously, the demos are just hiding - if they are having a Regionals there!! And, take your camera - and a BIG memory card and charged batteries - so you can take pics of all the samples on the sample boards....AAANNNDDD - I love to take pics of all the samples that people donate - there will be a box set up - this way, because there is no way you can swap with EVERYONE - you can get pics of everyone's swap. How many are you making? I usually do 100. Some people do WAY more than that - and some people do more than one kind....I am excited for you!!!!!!

I will have to look up fireweed jelly!! Definitely sounds interesting!! Is there maybe a thread about peeps meeting for dinner/etc. before/after Regionals? Check out the demo-only threads. Is this an all day one, or half-day? - Definitely, make more!! You have time. I still need to get your spring box out. - And, um SOMEONE has a birthday coming up ....he won't have his R & R until maybe early November, or as late as January. Right now, it is early Nov...depends on how many crisis' he has to solve between now and then

Awesome! I'm sooo excited...started to emboss images so when my order gets here I can just start to put things together. My goal is 50 at least but we'll see. August has been super crazy with registeration for all the kids, doctors appts and hubby being on leave this week. Honestly looking forward to everyone back in school and working so I can have time to myself during the days. Getting together for lunch before the regionals sounds great.

I did look around for demos going but only found from 2005 when they had it, so I started a thread asking and no one has responded, so no biggy, will go with the flow. It's only a half day event, so should be fun no matter what.
I have piles that never got done for mailing, so at this point just trying to move forward and stay on top of things from this point on.lol Hence why my shelf is filling up with completed projects for fall and Christmas gifts, homemade wise that is. Probably had plenty already downstairs from all the clearance shopping to have a nice Christmas, but that would be way less work.lol
Keeping my fingers crossed for your hubby to be home in November for you.
Oh by the way DH says you should sign up for regionals and come out for a week or so since Devon is out of school.lol
For those of you that are military...wanted to let you all know tomorrow is military appreciation day and they are having free food, games etc at Cottonwood park tomorrow. Believe the times are 11am - 2pm.
Got my SU order in today....didn't realize how many stamp sets I actually ordered.lol Guess now that they are on cling foam alot more fits in a box. Really should go through my wood mount and down size. Started cutting card stock for my swap cards for regionals. OMG ordered the winter mini's and there are alot of cute stamps and paper in it. Looking forward to Sept so I can order from it.
I will probably be going sometime before the end of the month so I can get my 10% discount since I receive their post card for my Birthday, but can't tell you at this point in time what day since school is starting on the 16th and DD starts her job that day as well and then college on the 30th, but hoping to go without children sometime soon.

Started potty training Thing 2... We'll see hw this works. How sad is it that I bought 3 different apps for potty training on my iPhone? Well, 1 was free, but still. One is actually supposed to predict when he'll need to go. FUN.

Oh man I forgot how much energy is spent trying to get the kiddos out the door for school! One down two to go. Promised the third I would walk him to school so he didn't have to carry all his crapola by himself.
Sooo enjoying my day...very productive. Cleaned out refrig and cabinets. Have dinner prepped and beef stew made and put up for this weekend, tomorrows dinner is already planned. Even made a cake today. Now I think I will make some no bake cookies and finish up the dishes. Then off to stamp for an hour then sew up a project or two for gifts. Hope you all are enjoying your day.

Oh man my ds sent me into a panic attack! He used all his test strips and didn't say anything to me. I go to check his supplies after he went to bed like I do every couple of weeks since he doesn't want me up in his business to find three empty boxes NO STRIPS....of course sent me into a freak out mode until I calmed down enough to remember he has a second meter and Walmart has the strips over the counter for that brand. I swear these kids are going to be the death of me. At least I know he will make it through the weekend.
