Goodies Yogurt is a new little shop in Folsom, and the owner has kindly offered a private, spacious, well-lit room for us to create. They serve great sandwiches and soup, have a nice salad bar as well as a baked-potato bar...and of course wonderful yogurt sundaes with dozens of toppings to tempt us. The prices are quite reasonable too. It would be very much appreciated by the owner if we would choose to have something to eat there....you won’t be disappointed!)
Theme: New Baby and/or Children’s BirthdayEach person attending will bring a sample of a completed card or project and kits of the sample to complete. Each kit should be in some type of baggie, be pre-cut, pre-stamped, ribbon cut, etc. The baggies should be placed in a shoebox or basket to be brought to the swap.
The swap is not limited to cards...other paper projects are welcomed.
The number of kits to bring will be determined after the close of the sign up period. Only one card/project is required, but it is always nice to have a second project, especially if the group is small. Entirely up to you.
Each person should bring their own basic tool kit which will include: scissors, bone folder, adhesive, glue dots, pop ups or foam tape. It may also include any other tool that might be needed or useful. If a particular tool or item is needed for card, please indicate when signing up. You may also post a comment on this thread informing the people signed up what that need will be.
Swap will begin promptly at 10:30 am and conclude when all the cards have been completed.
The cut off date for sign up will be June 18. It will then be posted how many kits are to be made.
Should there be a need to cancel, please inform Karen with an email no later than June 18th and a refund of $5 will be made. There are NO refunds after that date.
Hope to see you there. Looking forward to seeing new faces as well as old (I mean that in the nicest way!!!)
Are we stuck on Baby cards?? I don't anybody that needs Baby cards, other than Candace. Am really struggling to come up with something appropiate. sheeshshhh......

Jenni, it says Children's birthday too...I had to order a stamp to do a baby card. I just hope I can come up with something cute to do with the stamp...

Baby and kids are my least favorite but I wanted to join this group. I think I have a kids BD idea but it still needs some work.
Okay....I'll admit I chose baby and chidrens birthday because I wanted an excuse to do a certain card. Heck....as long as you show up with kits I'm happy:lol:.
I can change it to to an 'anything goes' theme, that works for me.
Well the birthday card was easy-peasy!! I even got an idea for a BOY birthday card and a general one. It was the baby that was throwing me for a loop!! ;) No worries kit(s) will all be present and accounted for!! Tyana will represent!!
The "child" in children's b-day card could be an older one, right? Like teenager? Might make it easier...
HA!! So not true!! But no worries, I got some ideas brewing for Birthday cards!! And since Betty bought a new stamp, she gotta make a card with it, right??
Jenni...Betty is just using trying to blame me for buying a new stamp. I've got her all figured out.
Oh....and to be clear, TWO cards are not necessary. Sometimes people have time, and like to do more than one card, especially when there are only 4 or 5 participants. A second card is always a treat but not a requirement.
Pauline...we don't have any rules (or at least very few). Anyway, since I'm the hostess I get to make the rules this time. We have a theme for are SWAPS as a starting place but the point is to have a good time and share our ideas. Any theme is just fine, I know whatever you choose will be wonderful.
Yay! Renee...and Nancy too. She came to our very 1st one...we all sat together. Is your Mom gonna come?
LOL! Karen...I didn't have anything for a baby card so had to buy one. It should be here tomorrow. So, yes Jenni...I'll be making at least a baby card. I could make a birthday card too, I guess. Will have to see as I'll be just getting home from my trip.
