Where is the English Cottage?? What is it?
Is it close to Charlotte ??? If so I am in T R O U B L E !!!!
Have you ever been up to Stamper's Alley in Mooresville??? Lots of stuff there - plenty to get into trouble with. Email me if you need more info - it won't let me post a link to the website.
Has anyone been to the Artists' Oasis in Apex? Is it worth the 2 hour trip from Concord?? Archivers is nice but judging by their website, this place looks awesome!

That would be great - the Annual Open House is next Saturday - you should come up. There will be Make n Takes and demos, door prizes - all kinds of fun! I am doing one of the Make n Takes. There is also a scrapbook store just up the road a little bit - The Scrap Shack - if you into scrapbooking. Hope to see you soon.
I haven't been to Apex, but checked out their very cute little town. Now need to check out the Stamper's Alley website too. Thanks for the info it looks like you two (Jackie & Elizabeth) will get some stamping time together in the Charlotte area.
If you haven't already stopped by this thread of "MollyDR", please check it out. She is getting ladies together near her place...Are you still having a gathering on Oct 27th? Let us know!!
And if anyone has not been to the enchanted cottage in Lewisville near Winston-Salem. It is definitely worth a trip. Its an unbelievable stamp/scrapbook store
I wold love to join you ladies! Not sure if I will be able to make it or not. I am actually in Virginia but my sister and brother live in the Raleigh area. We spend Thanksgiving in the area every year so maybe I can connect with some of you that weekend.
If I can work it out I will try to do the 10th also.

Well I was hoping to have all the details ready to post yesterday but I'm still waiting to hear back about confirmation - which I was told I'll now get on Monday, by the afternoon sometime. Keep your fingers and toes crossed, girls!!
Alrighty!!! Sometimes is seems as if the simplest things can be so hard! We could not get the place so Plan A has fallen through sorta and now I'm working on a Plan B (and maybe C) with Pattie. One of us will be back soon with details.
Just pm'ed you. Darn about Plan A but I do like the Plan B!! tee hee ...Aren't I so mean in not giving MORE details to everyone else!!... This gives everyone a reason to keep checking back here for more deliciously wonderful updates!!

Ok I really want to play but the dates you all are doing I am working one and the other have a hair appt and then I am headed out of the country for a few weeks. Could I come late?
Going to pm you now. You can check with 'mollydr' for some fun stampin this weekend. The Raleigh gathering will be tentatively Nov 10 or 13th ( OOPPS error on typing date should be 17th). Ohhh going out of the country, sounds exciting. I bet you will have lots of good photos to scrapbook with.

Reason: Typed incorrect date

oh yeah! Already playing with Molly she lives down the road from me! And yes will have tons to scrap!!! Thanks for the info!
Ok, I've been lurking on this thread cause I didn't think I'd be able to play, but if you guys do the 17th, I'd definitely love to join in! I'm in Apex. DH has to work the 10th so I was thinking I wouldn't be able to come, but I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for the 17th.
Hey all! Well the 10th I could come late and on the 17th I fly to Germany, so I will miss meeting you all if you do that weekend and hope to catch the next one! Thanks for keeping us in the loop Pattie! How is everyone enjoying the wet stuff coming from the sky?
Ok sorry to keep ya'll waiting to! Really sucks when life gets in the way of stamping and stamp related stuff, huh? That just shouldn't be allowed!!!
But finally, here's the scoop:
We can't rent out the room at Archiver's b/c they basically have holiday make & takes, classes like every weekend til the end of the year it seems! They really tried to work around it for us on the 10th but in the end it was a no go. :(
So we have a Plan B and a C!
Plan B for SATURDAY, NOV 10th: Meet up at Archiver's anyway, do their couple make and takes, shop around there and try not to blow all the $$$$! Then gather at a resturant and do a card swap exchange, play some games, win some prizes, hang out and eat some good food. Only cost is what you might buy at store and food, gas... That's it!
Plan C for SATURDAY, NOV 17th: We can rent my neighborhood clubhouse for the whole day and stamp, scrap, eat, win prizes, hang out and all that good jazz. I live about 7 miles from Archivers, so if anyone would still want to stop by there it's very close and easy to get to. Holds 75 peeps and costs $100 divided by how many people come. Food can be brought along or ordered for there, lots of fast food and resturants near by. We have to clean the place when done and renting it is dependent on that no one else already has handed in a request for that date before I do. Cost would be whatever you spend if you went to shop at Archivers, plus any food, room renting fees, gas...
I know it kinda short notice but could ya'll please vote on which one you would like to do by tomorrow night in this thread!?! That when I can make final plans from that point on. I would love to do both and which ever one doesn't work this time round we can plan that out for sometime after the first of the year in Jan/Feb.
Any questions, drop me a PM! I'm off, back to work for a little while!!
Oh and we'll go with the one that works best for the most people. If neither work for some of you, don't worry, like I said we'll have another at a later date.
I'm going to have to miss the get together this time. I work on the 10th and the 17th is right before we are driving to see my family in SD. I'll keep watching for the next get together. We do have a library meeting room here in Albemarle that we could use sometime - but we are sorts in the middle of nowwhere

Just returned from the doctor's yesterday and my son will have tonsillectomy Nov 13th, so will vote for Plan B at Archivers. Otherwise I was very flexible for either.
