You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
Sue (stampinalot) has made arrangements for us to meet at Reed Elementary School in Kuna on Friday, November 7, from 6-10 pm. Join us for a fun time stamping, chatting, and meeting old and new friends. (Thanks, Sue!)
The cost will be $5, which will cover a light dinner and various meeting supplies and costs. Please send your payments by OCTOBER 15 to my Paypal address <[email protected]> or pm me for my address to mail a check. Your payment will reserve your place.
The school will require each of us to sign a liability waiver, so make sure youre comfortable with that before you sign up. We have a limit of 20 people, so that will be first-paid, first admitted. Also, we cannot have *any* children with us, even babies. <school policy> Sorry.
And now, to the swap! :-)
Please plan your swap to take no longer than 10 minutes, so that everyone gets a chance to finish up. You'll need to bring:
Your shoebox swap (OUR FINAL NUMBER IS 20), including all supplies needed to complete it. Please prepare a supply packet (can be a sandwich bag or something similar) for each person. You also need to bring *2* completed versions of your swap: one for a sample and one for the display board! (Some display cards will be donated to Cards for Troops.) Please do not use heat embossing or other techniques that would require electricity/extension cords/etc. We will not be able to use them.
Your own scissors and adhesive of choice.
A stamping related doorprize ($5 in value--can be handmade or purchased) for the drawing. Everyone will go home with a prize!
Protective mat for the table surface (like an acrylic stamping mat, or grid paper).
Pillow or cushion to sit on, if desired. These are cafeteria benches, my friends! :-)
Your own drink with a lid.
Directions to school:
South on Meridian Road. Make a right at the light at Deer Flat Road, Make a right at stop sign at Linder. Go past small horse pasture and make the 1st right which will be into Reed Elementary School parking lot.
Sign me up too please
Amy, I'll need your address, again.. LOL.. I should have it memorized by now.

Glad you're all so excited! I sent messages to everyone who is on SCS, but not to those with just emails. If you know of someone else who would like to come, please send them a link to the thread! Thanks!
:( Unfortunately I'm going to have to pass. We got an unexpected assignment to Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ...and hope to be there by beg-mid Nov. We are excited about the move, we've been wanting this for a long time but we were told in March we're going no where due to hubby's medical condition/profile, so it's great we get to go..but...my daughter's expecting and she said she's not going to be moving with us:( Yep, I'm going to be a grandma!!!
Oh, I'm sorry you'll have to miss this time, Tanya! Congrats on becoming a Grandma, though! I am really looking forward to that time in the future! Keep us posted!

Thank-you Amy and Rachel I'm looking forward to it. My daughter has me on the search for a John Deere tractor stamp to do her baby shower invites and baby announcements...whether it's a boy or girl. She's obsessed with JD Tractors. She found JD baby bedding...Green & Yellow with blue background for a boy and pink and chocolate for a girl. So, if you guys know where I can find a JD Tractor stamp....you'd be making my daughter one happy mom-to-be!
Sorry I'm gonna be missing out. Subscribed to the thread so I can see what ya'll come up with. We had so many great cards at the last one!
I'm in - I'll try not to be late but I have a hard time getting anywhere on that side of town by six since I work until 5:30. Will that be okay? Amy - will you send me your address so I can mail you a check?
As a newbie - do we just do the shoebox swap or are there other projects as well? I'm so excited - thanks for including me!
Thank,
Stacy

Thanks for the quick reply - made me feel like you were just waiting for me to answer you. I feel so special!
I've emailed my mom to see if she wants to join us as well. She's a demo also (cris1467) but she's in Phoenix right now doing the Creating Keepsakes Convention and snagging new ideas for us when it comes to scrapbooking - so much fun - wish I was there!

Hi Girlfriends. 1st I'd like to Thank Amy, Rachel and Sue (eat cake) for setting up our 7th Shoebox Swap. you Girls Rock. I've been teaching music for 2 days and haven't been on the thread. WaHoo Count me in for our Swap. I will be a little late. I accompany a Suzuki Violin Group on Nov. 7 and we get done at 5:30 at the Caldwell Library. I get paid. WaHoo. So I will hurry as soon as I get done. We are playing at 3 nursing homes on Nov. 8. We do this every year. it's great fun. So don't start without me. I think I might do an Eat Cake Card or a Cupcake card to celebrate my 60th Birthday. i went to Vegas for my Birthday and had a Grand time. So you girls get busy and design your cards. I haven't stamped much since convention. You ought to see my craft room. Everything is piled up. I will just order new stamps then I don't have to clean it up. HEE HEE.

Aw Thanks, I know I'm going to be missing out on a fun time:( !!!
Grandma, I know~ crazy huh? Thanks for keeping an eye out for a tractor stamp (doesn't have to be JD, just the general look). Mikaela really likes the Riley Tractor stamp but without the moose. Looking at it, it's too much of a hassle to mask the moose out...ah well...I'll continue to hunt
Tanya,
You'll have to keep us updated on everything, the move, the new baby.

Amy,
Nicloe Rimer (princess nik) asked me to put her name on the list. She is a friend of mine and Jackie S. I told her I would get her all the info she would need.
Thanks,
Diane
I've updated with all the signups and payments I have received so far. Kara, I pm'd you my address. :-)
I am going to take all signups until we get closer to the cut off date. Then I'll start re-doing the list by who has paid. Thanks to everyone who has already! It makes it easier to get going on the arrangements.
Did you get my $5.00? I sent it on last week. Like about Thursday. Stampinalot is worried I won't get into the Shoebox Swap. Don't Worry Be Happy. I think I will make her a special Eat Cake Card. I know that she just wants to tease me. She is lots of fun. I'm feeling alot better lately. My Dr. said it wouldn't be long now. After 10 years its a Miracle. So Stampinalot better Watch Out. WaHOO ! ! .
