The problem with Saturdays and Archivers is that apparently people come for their Manias at 10 a.m. When the do that they are assigned their table for the night. So, we can't count on having the space. Besides the Manias they have workshops going on during the day too.
So--unless we can do something during the day M-F we are limited to Sunday's to use their work space.

I do not mean to thread jack but out of curiosity are any of you crafty scrappers going to the Scrapbook Expo in Pheasant Run that weekend...it is on Friday and Saturday? I am going and wondered if anyone else would want to meet up there as well? I am taking 2 classes and I would be willing to bring the info with me on Sunday to share...let me know or PM me...
That's a good idea, but, as far as I can tell no one wants to meet on Sunday 7/20.....
I'm bummed that the expo is so far away now. I used to try & go when it was in Villa Park, but the time/drive I just can't do it.

July 20th? thats past...I thought the date was Aug. 24th?
The drive to Pheasant Run for me is about 45 minutes to an hour...I think I drive fast. I am taking 2 classes this time...All my Children and Canvas A La Carte. I took a few classes the last year it was at Villa Park and I did way to many...I was running around from class to class and have time to shop...which may be the real reason I am going...:twisted:
Yeeeeshhhh--anyhow, 8/27---I don't think anyone wants to do that date either. I may be able to meet people over at Archivers, but I don't know if I can stay. Right now both my dh and dd are gone and at this point I don't think we have any plans...

I am still interested in August 24th... but if you want to do a Saturday instead of a Sunday I can call the Scrappin' Bee and see if we can reserve their space. It's right down the road from Gurnee Mills, so it's still centrally located and easy to get to.

I subscribed to this thread a while ago but never posted -- I reread most of the posts but not sure right now when/where the get together is being held.

We've been talking for too long and not gotten together yet! If we do a shoebox on Sunday, August 24th in the Lake Geneva/Williams Bay/Walworth area - who would come?
I would be interested in a shoebox swap in the Lake Geneva area on the 24th, where we bring the supplies and make the cards that day. If there are not many people attending, would you consider everyone bringing supplies to make two cards? Also, would there be any vendor restrictions on the stamps and supplies used?
Ya--I so agree the in regards to the "talk thing". I never got a date from others. I threw a couple out there but they didn't go anywhere.
As far at 8/24 I don't think I could make it for that distance. Normally it wouldn't be an issue, but I'll be giving trainings starting on 8/12 for new staff. So, by 8/24 I'm not sure where I'd be in that process.
Hi, I would be interested in meeting at Archivers at Gurnee, IL. I live in Racine and Walworth/Lake Geneva would be too far for me to go. I am available ont he 24th. This would be fun I will check back to see what is decided.

Sorry I was quiet for so long had to make an emergency trip out of town and we are just getting back. I can do Gurnee on the 24th but the other location is too far for that particular day for me. Sorry, but it is a busy weekend at my house and Gurnee is MUCH closer and do-able.
If you do anything let me know I live in MI, but I am often in Loves Park, IL (just outside Rockford) visiting and helping out my 88 yr old mom. I get bored, so wouldn't mind getting out - can use mom's new jeep, so could travel a little ways.
