Question for anyone. Has any one ever done their own web site or page and what is best and who's is the easiest. My husband wants to know what I want for Christmas and I have had several people wonder why I don;';t have a website with all my folded cards so I'm checking it out. Any ideas are helpful.

I'm not the person to ask. are you hoping to have a blog? have to say I can see it.
Do you have a friend or 2 in the business world. Could you go it by them?
I use google blogger, because it is free. They have some canned templates. If you want to get more fancy, you can pay for a blog such as word press, pay for an web address with your own domain, pay for someone to design your background, etc.
Also, it depends on what you want. Most google blogs are just sorted by date of entry, with categories you can add to each post and give an index on the side margin. If you wanted something like a store front, where the pictures and links on the front stay the same, blogger may do that or you may need something else. I'm not familiar with that style.
If you choose blogger, it is fairly easy. Start an account and start typing, try adding a photo, add a link, etc. I learned by trial and error. The editor is pretty easy.

"We at There She Goes are sad to announce that we will be closing our doors for good around the end of December. We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of our customers, because you have all became so much more than that to us. We consider you family, and your support and love through these last 6 years has made this journey more than worth the ride. On behalf of all our Trendsetters, past and present, my family, and I, thank you again for everything, and best wishes. We will miss you!!"
Hi, Becky. I've got a soon to go live Wordpress blog, self hosted through hostgator. Buy the domain name from godaddy, then go to hostgator for getting it out there. Hostgator is the most helpful group. You actually get a live person who works with you!

girls I'm looking for what I call "paper cubes". you know the 3x3/4x4 cubes of white scrap paper. think thick post its.
we made these a few years ago. you make a box w/5 coasters. tie up thesides w/ribbons. the scrap paper drops inside/
any idea where to buy local. Utica/Syracuse?
thanks
Obviously not a local source but if you only need a few I saw them not that long ago (probably within a few months anyway) in a Walter Drake or similar catalog. $3 comes to mind but that might have therice for the personalized option.
Haven't out linking on my tablet so you'll have to search on your own.
DH is sick so I'm very tired and not getting any craft time. I do not have a single Xmas card unless the handful leftover from last year turns up. I have some new-to-list people I can send them to.
Hope everyone is well. And I hope Tony can sleep for more than an hour or two at a time!
Gayle, I actually make these at work with the scrap computer paper. I have 2 blocks of wood, the same size as the paper being glued together. sandwich the paper between the block of wood - hold together with many rubber bands and glue one edge. I usually let them dry over night. It is easier if the paper is cut professionally if you are giving them as gifts. Before this I had gone to the local printing shop and had them make them up with their scrap paper. I think they charged me about 5 cents per pad but they only had about 25 sheets in them. Vippies is really good but can be expensive.

The quilt technique is a great way to use strips, especially if they are different but coordinating colors/patterns. Herringbone is another good technique.
Or make lots of modern Christmas trees with horizontal strips (frequently seen done with washi tape).
Saw in the Announcement forum that Ribbon Carousel is closing. While I prefer a different type of storage these look very nice. I think cookiestamper featured them on her blog awhile ago.
Are you hosting, Diane? I have been full-up with jobs, haven't had any play time.

have DH's Christmas shopping done. He did the shopping for his little nephews. I'm having some photos made for my brothers and will give them Nora's turkey joints. I need to put together some cards for one SIL since I did ask her if she needed any. DH can take care of his other sister, BIL, and brother. I've stopped making troop valentines and need to package up what I have made and get that pkg shipped. Stamping Christmas cards tonight with friends...YEAH! Need to finish my address labels update so I can get our Christmas cards mailed. Lots to finish up but at least I don't have to shop!
I'm feeling out of sink with Christmas because I've been making valentines. Now SIL tells me she needs Easter cards so I'll REALLY not be feeling Christmassy! At least not until tonight when we're making stacks of Christmas cards!
Thanks for my birthday wishes. Had a great day and topped it off with Nancy's Stamp A Stack! A perfect way to end.....great cards and stamping friends. Can't beat it! Thanks Nancy....wonderful cards, as always.
