Yeah, see! I am like the angel of death on threads. As soon as I show up everyone bails!!
OK, so I was thinking my room buddies, we need to sycronize our arrival on the Friday of the gathering so we can all do dinner together and hook up with as many Friday nighters as are going to be there. Sara, how far (time wise) are the Smokies from you? I was thinking 2 1/2 hours. So if I head out bright and early Friday AM, stop to get you around noon we could be there easily by mid afternoon.
Location: I don't know but wherever I am, I'VE GOTTA CUT BACK ON THE CAFFIENE!!!!!

Per mapquest, sevierville is 112.28 miles from me, so about 1 1/2 -2 hours I guess

Yes! LOL We have moved it three times trying to get a good hotel rate and not be inundated with 20,000 youth groups etc. Sherri is coordinating those efforts.
We wanted to be near Pigeon Forge, the biggest scrapbook store EVER and the outlet malls...in case we have time to shop.
Sara, If you find any cards that you really like, in the dozens you have been receiving or in Michele's kits, set them aside and we will make a similar example for your shoebox cards.

LMAO! No if you look at the first post on this thread, it gives details. I took the liberty of signing you up for a shoebox card, a 6x6 scrap page and a gift basket. All of which we will make from my stash when you come up so you dont have to use up your stuff. It is called a shoebox swap because the concept is you make a sample card, then cut out all of the pieces and stuff, package them in little zippy bags x9 in this case. Many people bring the zippies in a shoebox, hence the name. There are 10 in each group, so each of you will get to make 1 out of the other people's boxes. You will keep your example, so you will go home with either 10 cards or kits to make same.
The gift basket is 2 stamped items and other stuff you want to put in that are maybe other crafts, like jewelry you made or banana bread etc. Then you will draw and get someone elses basket. When you come in Nove we will work on your stuff so dont panic. I just wanted you to get a bunch of cards to example.

So, I'm thinking I should probably leave around 10ish...that would put me getting there between 2 - 3....

I live in Maryville, which is about a 45 min drive, so I can't decide if I want to come up Fri or Sat. I have lupus so I'm thinking I should come up on Fri and not be worn out from the drive on Sat.

Come on up on Friday! I just want to get as much girl time in as possible! Our activities will be in the same hotel so it will be easy to go back to your room and rest during the day as needed.

Was off today!!! Getting ready to do alot of Halloween tie dye in the next couple of days for girls at work! Hey....I think we are gonna be roomies! How are you feelin?
Ok ladies, here is the scoop on snacks. We will be permitted to bring in drinks, but snacks will have to be eaten either in the area they have designated for the continental breakfast or in your rooms. It is their policy due to the legal issues. The area for continental breakfast can hold about 50 people at once so there is no reason why we can't just bring some snacks and eat in the common area. I hope this answers some of your questions.
FYI---check in at the hotel is 1:00 p.m. and check out is at 11:00 a.m.
Make sure you let the hotel know if you will be coming before Friday and staying later than Sunday. I will be there on Wednesday to get things finalized with the hotel. Don't forget if you are coming to stamp with us you will need to get your money to us no later than December 1st. If you will not know until later please PM either myself or Ellen so that we can add you to the list anyway.

Roomies will be great. I was feeling somewhat ok earlier, but not so hot tonight. Fever back up to 103+. Dreading the drive to Knoxville in the am.
