Default Food for 7-22-06 STL Stampede

Hey there ladies! I have figured out the food for the STL SCS Stampede and I need your help.

Lunch: Sub sandwiches, snacks and drinks. Price will be around $3.

What I Need: Give me your opinion on what type of sub you like, ie, ham, turkey etc. Then let me know what snacks you will bring. I know some of you are traveling far and won't be able to bring anything but I am sure we can make up for that.

Dinner: Ravanelli's take-out catered meal. $6.45 per person for the following.
Pick 2 Meats: roasted chicken (like fried, very yummy), Italian beef, glazed ham, turkey.
Pick 2: Mostaccolli with meat sauce, mashed potatoes with gravy, scallop potatoes, stuffing
Pick 2: green beans with bacon, buttered corn, glazed carrots, broccoli
Meal includes salad and bread.

What I Need: Please respond with what you would pick if you had a choice. I will try to get a general concensus.

Snacks:
StampinCarla - cookies or brownies
Showmestamper - ?
jstarbright - several cases of bottled water
Mindy - veggies and dip, soy chips
emilymomto3boys - cookies
stampcrazed2 - pretzels
Lynn in St. Louis - Gordettos snack mix
onestampaholic - cookies
stampin-sunnychick - Muddy Buddies
Bkstitch - caramel corn
StampinChrissyLea - crackers
jsarvis - 2 liters of soda
Greta - brownies
CraftEone13 - checking back
Sarahb - chips
Effingham Stamper - Dr. Pepper and cookies

Badmom - paper products
Propecia - m&m's
suepuppy - whatever
tetris - spinach dip

Thanks ladies. Let me know if you have any questions. The price of the meals will be included in your registration.

SUB: Either is fine with me.

Dinner: Chicken & Ham (no turkey in case we have it for lunch), Mostaccolli with meat sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans, and corn...But really I could switch most any of these. I am not picky.
RANDI~ Are we really supposed to eat all that? OMG! We are going to be so FULL! Sounds yummy...I just can't believe you get all that food for such a low price. You did so good!

Subs: whatever is fine with me

Dinner: Chicken & Italian Beef, Mostaccolli with meat sauce & scallop potatoes, green beans with bacon & glazed carrots.

I'm not sure what I'm bringing just yet, but I will bring something.

WOW!!
Randi you got some awesome prices!! And great choices too!

Here's my 2 cents:

Subs: turkey, but anything works for me

Snacks: I will be bringing cookies or brownies. Out of towners could bring bagged snacks like chips and snack crackers easily. ( I do have several large bowls to dump them in if we need them )

Dinner:

Meats: Roasted Chicken and Ham
Mostaccolli and Scalloped Potatoes
Green Beans and Carrots

Think that covers it. Let me know if I missed anything.

Thanks for responding. Keep them coming. The meal is so cheap because my husband is picking it up instead of having it catered. The meal with only one choice of everything was only $1 cheaper.

Here's my choices.
SUB sandwich : ham
Meats: roasted chicken and Italian beef
Pick 2: Mostaccolli with meat sauce, scallop potatoes
Pick 2: green beans with bacon, buttered corn
But honestly, I'm good with whatever is served...it all sounds AWESOME! Great work and thanks for doing it.

As for what I can bring...I can bring whatever it looks like we need as it gets closer. Be that sides, snacks, dessert, a cooler, whatever.

Sounds like some yummy food!

Subs: Ham or roast beef is good for me... nothing hot, like hot peppers or hot mustard

chicken or ham
any potato and stuffing
beans and corn

Maybe you should put this on a poll? would that work better for numbers?

I am just putting your answers in my own spreadsheet and figuring out what the majority is. I don't know how to do a poll with so many options.

I can bring chips or water bottles or pop ( will be warm until we get there and buy ice) or whatever you need, just let me know. Nothing in breakable containers due to the driving conditions

OK. I updated the original post to keep track of what snacks you all are bringing, so make sure to PM me or just post it here. I will update the list so we don't have too many duplicates.

Sounds lovely.

I'm not picky so any of the above would work fine for me.

If we start in the am I'll be happy to bring some mini bagels if someone (or more) wants to bring cream cheese to slather on them.

If we start closer to lunch I'll bring whatever is needed....

I can also bring my iced tea maker and make some tea if people will drink that.

Just let me know.

Then pretzels it shall be. Also, I live very very close to the event so if you need me to bring anything else I would be happy to help since some of the ladies are driving several miles to get here and won't be able to bring food or drink items. JLMK.

Default Snacks

Put me down for bringing something similar to Gardetos (sp?) (you know, the stuff they have sitting on bars...not that I would know  )...good gab and stuff in your face food. BUT honestly, if you need me to bring something that no one else wants to, I'm totally up for that too. Whatever you need....

LOL, Thought you would get a chuckle out of that one!
Randi, I'm not sure what you mean by " price included in your registration " I don't want to be reimbursed for the snack I bring. If I read it wrong let me know ok, but it's my pleasure to bring whatever to help out and it really is a small part compared to the organizing all of you are doing for our get- together.

The price included is for the two meals. Tracy will include that price in the cost she asks for registration. And since we are getting the facility for FREE, there should not be much more than that.

Oops, re-reading it I guess it is perfectly clear. That will teach me to think so hard right before bedtime. How about if I bring a couple or more cases of water since there are so many of us and that way I can mix in some flavored waters too.

It will be as early as everyone can handle! I would love to have it from 8am to 8pm...but I have yet to ask for a group decision. Definitely early morning...I know I will be there by that time so come on in whenever you are ready.

Since we are getting the salty snacks covered...I am thinking I might just bring a big bag of chocolate yumminess!
AKA: Muddy Buddies (chocolate, rice chex or cheerios, peanut butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar...JIC you never made it for your kiddos before). Maybe I should to make 2 big bagssince DH and I will be driving up sometime during the week and we will *need* some snackage! LOL

Sorry I have been gone for a while, my computer at home was fried from the storm a few weeks ago and I was at the quilt show last week at Paducah, KY. Any of the food sounds great to me. I will bring a big tub of homemade carmel corn. Does that sound ok? Let me know what else I can do to help.

I have a reaction to chocolate or anything with caffeine it. You don't want me flying high and then crashing and crying. That is not a pretty sight.
It is a good thing that I don't care for chocolate.

I do miss bacon. BLT sandwiches.

Subs: Roast Beef or Turkey

Dinner: Chicken & Italian Beef, Mostaccolli with meat sauce & scallop potatoes, green beans with bacon & glazed carrots.

For Snacks...will bring some 2 liters of soda if that's okay
