Let me know if you don't find anyone to stay with. I'd offer my house up right now, but I know that we will be gone that evening (possibly overnight to celebrate Easter...that's unclear at this point).
So, not completely sure what my plans are exactly. Keep me posted on your need for an overnight stay.

Did you freeze your hiney at the packer game- after the game was over I looked and looked fo rmy DH- only to find him a half an hour later quietly crying in the bathroom!! LOL kidding- but he was so heartbroken!

My hiney was actually fine...it's my toes that I can't keep warm! I had a bad feeling about the game from the onset....it just didn't "feel" right.

Hope Mother Nature gets this out of her system so we all have great weather for driving on March 22nd.
I agree! DH is in Mpls. and was supposed to come home tonite. Told him to wait - roads are horrible between there and here.
Let's hope this is all over soon and that we get the "March out like a lamb" for our gathering!

To relay some great news...I got accepted into the MBA program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison! Woo-hoo!
Classes start in the fall, which means I will have zero stamping time from that point forward.
That means the Mad-City Shoebox could very likely be one of my last Gatherings, so I'm looking forward to it even more!

Great news! I started stamping when I went back to school. I found it was a nice break & relaxation esape! It was a great way to do something besides homework. Maybe that will happen to you also.

Congrats Mel! I am sad cauze I'm scheduled to work 12 hour shifts that weekend (they won't close the hospital) so won't be able to make it :( but I am sending one or two of my group to it, they haven't registered yet. Could I do a long distance swap?

You're more than welcome to participate in the optional swaps. And, I bet if I do the math right, we can count you in the shoebox portion if you send all of yours pre-made.
I did this for someone last year who had to 'not come' at the last minute due to a family emergency.
Let me know what you decide.

What would you say is a good time frame for completing each shoebox swap card ? Like 10 minutes to put it together? Just want to complete as much of the swap card as I can to make it quicker for completion.

I'd say 10 minutes max. If we end up getting full, we'll have 20 cards to complete that day. Plus time for chit/chat, lunch and other swapping.

I just finished putting together my sample for my card front (optional) swap, and I am SO pleased! Whew! Now I just have to figure out the shoebox part.
