Hi. I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but I've had some difficulty tracking down the ziploc bags needed to make the gel cards. The tutorial mentions a 3" x 4" and the only sizes I can find are several inches larger than that.
They are in the craft department around the jewerly making supplies and they come in different sizes from small to a medium/large size. I got mine at Walmart. Try the aisle with wooden beads, pipe cleaners etc. too.
Hi, I experienced the same problem. I did find the size 3x4 at Walmart they also had another size, I think they were 1.57 for 50 bags. Very good price I thought!
I use our (SU!'s) small cello bags and fold them over at the top two or three times using snail adhesive on each fold. I then use the adhesive to the paper. I haven't had any problems and I've sold tons of cello bags!!!!!
I also had trouble finding them locally so I bought mine on ebay. There is an auction running now that's 100 3x4 bags for $1.59 ($2.94 w/ shipping). Here is the link:
Do you have a "Michaels" store in your area? Go to the store and ask for help finding these baggies. I just got a big bag of them for about $1.50. They have them in all different sizes.
