You've Been Boo'd/ghosted/clause'd/turkeye'd/leprechaun'd
Subject: You've been boo'd - another version???
I've heard of the booed one referred to as being "ghosted" or "spooked".
Leave a bag of treats, this note and a paper Ghost to put on their door.
You have been Ghosted!
The Phantom Ghost has come to town,
To leave goodies you have found.
If you do not wish a curse to fall
You must continue this "Phantom" call.
First, post this Phantom where it can be seen
And leave it there till Halloween.
This will scare other visiting Phantoms away.
Be sure to participate, don't delay.
Second, make two treats,
Two Phantoms, and
Two notes like this.
Deliver it to two neighbors that might have been missed.
Don't let them see you, be sneaky, no doubt...
(And make sure they put their "Phantom Ghost" out!)***
Next, you will have only one day to act, so be quick!
Leave it at the doors where the Phantom has not hit!
Deliver it at dark when there is no light...
Ring the doorbell and run, and stay out of sight!!!
And last but not least, enjoy the season.
Don't worry, be happy for all the right reasons.
Be cool, have fun and remember, don't be seen!
Share the Spirit of Halloween!!
You've Been Claused
Place this poem with treats in a basket
A quick and clever neighbor thought you needed some cheer.
So they've dropped off this basket of treats, rang your doorbell and flew like Santa's reindeer. Please place this jolly old elf on your front door for all to spy, that you have "just been claused" by this merry little guy. Then fix a few goodies in the basket given to you, ring someone's bell, leave the basket and make them cheerful too!!
You’ve been turkied!!
WHEN I WAS A NEW TURKEY
When I was a new turkey, new to the coop,
my big brother Mike took me out to the stoop.
He sat me down, and he spoke real slow,
told me there was something that I had to know.
His look and his tone I will always remember,
when he told me the horrors of Black November:
"Come about August, now listen to me,
each day you'll get six meals, instead of just three.
"And then one morning, when you're warm in your bed,
in will burst the farmer's wife, and hack off your head!
Then, she'll pluck out your feathers, so you're bald 'n pink,
and scoop out your insides, leave ya lyin' in the sink.
Well, the rest of his words were too grim to repeat;
I sat on the stoop like a winged piece of meat.
And decided on the spot, to avoid being cooked,
I'd have to lay low and remain overlooked.
I began a new diet of nuts and granola,
high-roughage salads, juice and diet cola.
And as they ate pastries, chocolates and crepes,
I stayed in my room doing Jane Fonda tapes.
I maintained my weight of two pounds and a half,
and tried not to notice when the bigger birds laughed.
And sure enough, when Black November rolled around,
I was the last turkey in the entire compound.
So now I'm a pet in the farmer's wife's lap;
I haven't a worry, so I eat and then I nap.
She held me today, while sewing and humming,
and smiled at me and said, "Christmas is coming."
1. Enjoy your treat.
2. You have just 24 hours to copy this twice, make treats, and secretly deliver them to two friends in their mailboxes. Don’t forget to place a “Turkey” on their mailboxes.
3. Then watch how far the fun will spread as we all run around watching for the “turkeys” to land!
Gather together items to fill a small bucket with. Some suggestions:
Cookies, candies, etc.
Popcorn and soda
Attach the following message to the filled bucket:
"This little "Love Bucket" is meant to express
Love from a neighbor whom you'll never guess.
Replace the goodies with a treat from you.
And pass it on to someone whom you love too."
You can purchase bucket at the Dollar Store, or from Oriental Trading Company. Other things you could fill are fire helmets, baseball caps, mixing bowls, etc.
Once the buckets are ready, place them on the doorstep of your neighbor or friend, and run!
March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day
When the Leprechauns come out to play,
They sneak around to find some gold
Then steal it and hide it, or so we’re told.
But maybe we can trick them too
And then the one with the treasure is you!
Put something gold or silver in the sack
Then close it up and don’t look back.
If you’re lucky the Leprechauns will add some
And then you have the treasure and they have none!
Time to have Thanksgiving fun!
Placed some treats upon your step.
Gobble up this Turkey-Gram!
Halloween - You've Been Spooked
Since this is the time for goblins and bats
Halloween spirits & ghosts & cats..
Weird happenings & witches brew...
These are the things I wish for you.
May the only spirit you chance to meet
Be the spirit of love and warm friends sweet
May the only goblin that comes your way
Be the neighborhood phantom, whom you'll want to give away
So by tomorrow, pick three friends sweet
And give them all a Halloween treat.
You only have one day so hurry!
Leave the treat on the doorstep then flee in a flurry!
Now these are the things you will need to do:
1. Make three copies of this letter and a phantom ghost for each
2. Post the phantom ghost on your door until Halloween. This will ward off the phantom ghost from returnning to haunt you and yours.
3. Then take your letter, phantom ghost and treat and deliver them to three homes that do not have a phantom whost posted.
It's better giving than receiving.
We all know this is true.
So show your love to all the world and remember...
The phantom is YOU!!!!!
Keep the ghosts going!!!!! You've been SPOOKED!!!!!
Here's yet another!
I promise this is my last post on this subject (today)
Here's a couple more links.
There is a link at the top of the page to the Ghosting information.

You've Been Boo'd
The air is cool, the season fall
Soon Halloween will come to all.
The spirits are after things to do
In fact, a spirit brought this to you.
BOO is the shield from the witching hour
Just hang it up and watch its power.
On your front door is where it hangs
It wards off Goblins and their scary fangs.
The treat that came with coupled note
Are yours to keep, enjoy them both.
The power comes when friends like you
Will copy this and make it two.
The others here among our friends
Will give Halloween treats that will not end.
We'll all have smiles upon our faces
No one will know who "Boo'd" whose places.
Just one short day to work your spell
Work fast and no one tell
And don't forget a nifty treat
Like something cute or something seet.
Please join the fun - lets really hear it
And spread some "Boo's" and Halloween spirit!
Here are some directions to guide your way:
1. Enjoy your treats
2. Place "We've Been Boo'd" sign on your door
3. Now you have 24 hours to make two copies of the papers and Boo two of your friends
I personally like this next version better but I'd like to make it so it applies to a house rather than a desk:
You've Been Boo'd
A Goblin was here with a treat just for you.......
He crept up to your desk to deliver this "Boo".
The treats that appeared alonside of this rhyme,
Are now yours to keep - but don't run out of time!
To continue this "BOO" is your Number 1 mission,
You have only a few days to pass on this tradition.
To be sure the GOBLIN won't strike YOU again,
Just use either Xerox, a pencil or pen.
And copy this message - then make it two.......
The Halloween Spirit depends upon you.
Now prominently place this "BOO" at your own desk,
Then purchase or make TWO more treats is your task.
Then deliver your "BOO" when there's no one around
And quickly sneak back to our desk 'til it's found.
Soon there'll be smiles upon everyone's faces,
And no one will ever know who's "BOO'D" whose places!
By Halloween Eve there surely should be
A "BOO" placed on each of the desks we see!
