So as I was reorganizing my gallery items for Jenn, I looked at how I have changed as a stamper. I am absolutely AMAZED at how my stamping has changed... I have really grown as a stamper and I give credit to SCS!
Since you are helping Jenn to move items into new categories (hint, hint ), post some of your creations to this thread showing how your stamping has changed over time.
I am soooo thankful for SCS! In beginning, I didn't fully layer or use any ribbon, brads or eyelets. And I never considered buying a BG stamp, not even the 11.95 sets! I gasp at that now! LOL!
I can't believe these were my wedding thank yous. Thankfully I DIDN'T make my wedding invitations! LOL! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
It's funny you bring this up, because I recently deleted a few cards from my gallery from my early days. SOOOO BLAHHHHH. *yawn*
I did keep this one because it was the make and take for my first ever workshop that I demo'd: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
This thread just reminded me of the remake challenge in November VSN. Here's my remake of my first ever card. (I had to remake that card for the challenge. I don't know what to do with it. It's such a drab color combo. Or maybe it's just the card design! LOL!)
Emily,
You have come a long way!! I can't show you guys my first card since I sent it to my sister 4 1/2 years ago.....let's hope she didn't keep it!! My five year old could do better than that one I made!! LOL I have now learned that 'Less is More'!!! LOL

ok, still a beautiful card, but not as much of a stunner as the other one!
I am having way too much fun going through my files...LOL.
Here's a couple, showing my fascination with tags and embossing.
I think I need to make a couple "I'm Sorry" cards to send to these people...
The bear one is so sweet! I'm surprised it's in blue for a girl, but it's still so sweet. I love bears, though! IMO, teddy bears and babies are a match!

Trudee, you're too funny wanting to send I'm sorry cards!

Wellll, back then I used Michael's cardstock and I couldn't find anything but primary and the single pack of the lavendar....
No it's not! Thank goodness I don't have my first ones. Yikes! And to think those were my Chrismas cards for 3yrs. No layers, bad marker coloring, ink running together, etc. I have come a long way in the last couple of years.
Here's my remake card from VSN - the original was a from about a year ago (shortly after I bought my 1st SU stamps). I don't think I was ever afraid of color LOL:

Ok, found my "demo" scrapbook that I used my first year being a demo. I still pull it out for my beginner stampers. Talk about beginner stuff. I'm embarrassed to have demo'd these.
I will have to find some of the first cards I have ever done. I don't know where they are now. But here is one of the first ones in my gallery. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers I don't even remember doing it. I must have blocked it out of my memory. LOL
Here is one of my most recent ones. I sent this to a friend for Christmas along with the gift set that is the next link Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
And just for added measure, here is a gift set I sent with the previous card. Before SCS I never would have done anything more then cards, scrapbook pages and the occassional candle. Now I stamp everything that will sit still and even some things that don't. LOL Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
