Default Where do you save cut files ?

I know if you have a Silhouette the software that comes with it saves the cut files from the Silhouette America on-line store into the Silhouette software on your computer

However, there are a lot of free cut files on the net. Where/how do you save those?

Also do you back them up on an SD card; flash drive or a CD disk?
Thanks!
Barbara Jay

I have a folder in My Pictures called SVGs and within in that folder I have seperate folders for different categories, eg nestabilities, borders, flowers, etc.

As of right now I haven't made a backup of my folders but I really should, I'll probably just put them on a cd. If I had paid for any of my files I'd probably be a little more diligent about saving them.

I have a designated folder for all my non-Silhouette store cut files on my Google Drive. I have them saved just like my digi stamps, organized by the artist/creator so I can give credit to them when necessary.

If you find any good free files post a link! I guess I have not thought of hunting for free cut files. I'm going hunting!

I've a folder on my computer that is sync-ed online with my Skydrive account. So it's available to me on my computer and is backed up online. Here's a link to the skydrive: https://apps.live.com/skydrive/allapps/windows

Regarding categorization, I've folders like "foliage", "animals" etc. and store the images in appropriate category.
