LOL still working to get mine out. Waiting on a couple addresses. I don't do labels anymore as I have had too many non-deliveries with labels, postal workers seem to think they aren't personal mail. One even went all over Europe (or sat in the worker's car) for four months before it was returned. Thus I hand address these days. *sigh*

Oh but they will be out when the Post Office gets my stamps in. Oh the joy of the season! Hopefully all done tomorrow.

Hopefully this week, since none are going international I'm not as pressed for time. Although my SIL lives in northern California and their mail goes all the way down to San Francisco then back up to them! Takes at least a week longer.

Finally went to the Post Office. Canadian mail cost $1.05 a card and will go from one coast to the other and back because of the way they process things. My cards were "too lumpy" according to the post office and I had to pay .65 cents a card. Eek!!! Didn't even do ribbon or anything but it is what it is!!!!!

According to the actual situations, you can isearch the arrival time from the official express website, and then send the card, not all cards should be sent at the same time, send cards that arrival time is nearly.

Apparently yesterday was my mailing day too. Of course that was after 3 trips to the post office. Local stamps, then international (because they were out) then a quick trip to post them out of hours... oh wait 4 trips, then one to send a package of 4 cards for my in-laws.

And I am still missing one house number, but hopefully that will go out today and it is local.

Usually way before now (like the 1st of December) but I don't even have them made yet this year. I refuse to just give up and buy a box like DH keeps saying. The problem was I went from a very simple idea, to listening to my DD complain that it was boring, coming up a complicated design, hating that, and compromising with a semi-simple design. Now to get it done. sigh

I finally got my mailing labels updated this morning so I've been working for hours to sign cards, stuff, label and postage stamp envelopes for NINETY cards...32 cousins make for a long list...LOL! I had cards left over from last year and went to a couple of card making sessions. and had extras from swaps so I had most of what I needed. I just need to finish 17 more cards so I can have them ready for Monday's mail.

I think I just need to make 5 more cards and write notes for a few. Most are already addressed and the plan is to mail them on Tuesday (not working that day).

Many years my cards get mailed on December 24th (with a stamp on the envelope that says it may be late but at least it's hand stamped --- one of my most-used stamps LOL). For the folks that didn't get a card mailed by 12/24, I try to send Happy New Year cards.

Happy CRAFTY Holidays!
