What's your favorite sample in the new catty? *moved*
Overall I am VERY pleased with the samples this year. Last year's were SO modern and sparse and cold, to me. And the color combos were just out there! But this year I really like the majority of them, and there's lots of brand new things going on. I have lots of Post-It's marking techniques and layouts I want to try!
So, wondering what everyone's favorite card in the whole catty is! Let's say you can have a runner-up as well, and also a vote for best scrapbook page. I'll start!
My fave card in the whole catty is on page 141, actually I love all three cards but the Really Rust one in the middle with the metal-edge tag is my favorite. It catches my eye every time I'm flipping through!
My runner up is on page 30, the Thankful Thoughts card. Too cute!
My favorie scrapbook page is on page 79. What a sweet baby!

Pg 73 Thinking of you card.... - It just really catches my eye everytime...
pg54 Dear kind & wonderful friend - love that stamp! All the samples done with that stamp are awesome!
pg 37 the middle card with snowman and trees - This I want to re-create for my christmas cards..... I love the coloring, "shabbiness" and feel of the card.
I do have a least favorite card... (and by saying least favorite it's not a "hate this" card, it's just weird for me) And that's the Loads of Love card on 52. It is Christmas colors, has trees in the back of the "trailer" part (and I love this part) but the greeting is "driving by with a birthday "Hi"" I just don't get the greeting.... Love the "trailor" don't understand the greeting.
But like you love all the samples and great ideas to use in workshops, classes and for my card making in general. I need all the inspiration I can get when it comes to card layouts. As I am mostly a scrapbooker.
Favorite Card : Page 165...lovin' those Designer Print Papers
Runner Up : Page 4 ...love the color combo, paper, and "fabulous" sentiment!
Scrapbook Page : Page 128...so beautiful.....but for photo alone, I love the scrapbook page on Pg. 21. What a Face!
I don't have the catty in front of me, but I love the card sample they made for the I'm Here set. It's a long birth announcement. I love the colors and simplicity of it. I would have never thought to use those colors (I'm guessing it's the new groovy guava and river rock) for a birth announcement. I usually go with the old fashioned baby blue and pink...

I love the gorgeous vignette they have created for the photographs this year.
Page 31 sold me the dotted autumn stamp set...gorgeous colors and textures!
Page 49 such beautiful cupcakes and beautiful stamped items too.
Page 93 is gorgeous--I don't even care that they aren't practical.
Page 25 definitely want to do some chipboard ornaments like those for my Christmas gift round up
Cards:
Page 177 I love the secret garden kit and the sample is lovely
Page 159 something about this one...must be the layers and details? Not sure what it is, but it is soooo nicely done!
The caramels one that heads up one of the sections.. but that is just cuz the caramels look so good. LOL!!!

The first time I looked thru the catty I loved the card made with "Garden Silhouettes" on page 21. Second would be on page 149...love the colors, the flower and how they have the red c.s. behind the spiral punched area.
Fav scrapbook page is page 33....not sure if it's the page or that little baby I fell in love with??
Least fav would be pg 109, the card made w/"Seasonal Whimsy". It doesn't even look like the stamp was inked very well before they stamped the image.
My fave card (makes me stop and look at it) is on page 51 for Heart Flutters. Definitely a card layout I could use and I love the colors in it for a masculine Valentine.
Runner up is on page 148-the "Celebrar" card-it just looks so festive!
My favorite sb page is on page 33-the holiday with with Glorious Garlands.
I am a scrapper who uses lots of pics in layouts-I could use this layout idea very easily!
i am adding another-my fave non-card is pn page 76 for the little box with vellum and wheeled in white-adorable!

I love this too! It caught my eye immediately.
Cards? Well, I'm going to have to go and look again (I've got to be honest, I haven't really taken a LOT of time to look at the samples, but love that little vellum box
I have three cards in my gallery based onmy favorite cards in the new catalog. They are from pages: 21, 45, and 97.
which in 97?
I am trying to decide if I like their crazy faux stitching on the sample for Sassy Stems. I do like the cards look overall and really like the "window" for the flower.

139D - Baroque background in River Rock. This card rocks my socks in a way that I can't explain and completely sold me on the Baroque background and All Holidays set. I want to try it in dozens of different colors.
love this thread -- you guys made me look at every single card or sb page you mentioned. Now, i'm going to have to go through the catty with a fine tooth comb to figure out which are my favs.
It is the sassy stems card on P. 97. Check out my gallery for my version
Lovely work Math. Thanks for sharing your gallery link. I don't have the REAL catty here yet but went online to look at the cards on page 97 and then clicked on the supply list. It gives the Key Tag punch in the tools list for that card. Could it be that that was how they made the oblong "window" for the card?? Hard to see on my laptop computer screen. Maybe IRL it's easier to determine.
Everyone -- Thanks so much for sharing your favorites from the new catty. I'm making a list and will be doing more browsing based on your suggestions!

I love the Doodle samples on page 99. I would have NEVER put a circle in the square frame.
Favorite scrapbook page - because it's so different too me page 28.
favorite non-card - page 85!
least favorite card - Monkey Business on page 61. That is the cutest set with TONS of awesome cards in the SCS gallery. This card just really doesn't do the set justice.
Favorite color lay-out - page 50 and 51. What a great combination with so many different samples.
Other strong likes - scrapbook page on 39 with Merry, Merry.
Both Ho Ho Ho samples on page 32 (love the colors and the set and the lay-outs)
page 54B - as someone else already said above - great card.
Okay, I looked and looked again and ended up with these:
fav card - page 73
runner up - a million but I do like the middel one on page 139
SB page - I love the cowboy book on page 5 but also the one on page 28
Other - I am impressed with all the "other" items that are in the catty. Like many others, I'm very impressed with that vellum box on page 76, but I also love the menu on page 31, those stars on page 171, and everything on page 93 (but I'd probably change them into tags or cards)
What a fun thread this is! I have LOTS of 'favorites' but here are a few that haven't been mentioned yet:
P. 59: Thinking of You Card...I could do w/o the pearls, but do like the use of the paper piercing and the background stamp.
P. 79: Baby Card...I like how the sentiment is stamped 'long', the use of the circle stamp as a scallop border, and the star stamp behind the letters.
P. 102: Friend Card...I just signed up as a demo, primarily for the discount. I have lots of non-stamping friends who just don't 'get it.' I think a card like this would be a great place to start to show them how easy it is to create something that'll leave an impression. I don't care so much if they become customers...I just want some stamping buddies.
This thread is so much fun!!! I just read the whole thing and looked up everyone's fav's. I agree with so many! This catalog blows last year's out of the water for samples!!
Ok for me:
Hands down favorite card as soon as I cracked my catty open: p.148 Celebrar!
Also Love Love Love the JOY card on p. 39 (card c)
Favorite Scrappage: p. 86 - How easy is this page and what fun colors??! - such a versitile layout!!!
No one mentioned one of my favorites, on the bottom of p 67.
It uses the wide grosgrain in red, the large eyelet & it made me have to have the posy background!
