Happy Easter! On this colorful day of pretty dresses and Easter eggs... I thought it would be fun to talk about our favorite colors and color families. Who doesn't like a fun poll? After choosing your favorite color family, please tell us your fave colors in that family.
My favorite color family right now is soft subtles and my fave color is certainly celery. But really, I seem to change my mind according to the season! ;)
It was hard for me to answer, but I picked SS. I am not a "color family" type of person.... not enough focus! Not enough time to stamp! BUT... if I had to pick, that would be the one!
Well, this was a really tough one! I chose soft subtles as my favorite family, but there is really no way I can choose a favorite...I love so many of them in all the families. It would be a lot easier to tell you which ones I don't like...Only Orange, YoYo Yellow and Green Galore...although they do have their place, they just remind me too much of school construction paper colors.:p
I love earth elements, I usually use a soft subtle with them. Which is funn to me because in decorating and clothing I RARELY use pastels. I like the rich regals, too--they would be my second choice.
I have to say as a result of the color challenges I am making peace with the bold brights (in limited doses, lol)
I love about half of the SS and about half of the EE, so it was hard to vote.

That's a tough one for me. I chose Rich Regals since that is what I seem to be using the most lately, but I use Earth Elements nearly as much. I do agree with you about Certainly Celery - I LOVE that color! Now that I'm thinkin' about it, I don't use my Bold Brights very much anymore (other that Real Red, of course!). Hmmm....

I like earth elements, with bold brights a close second. I love old olive, and I use pink passion a lot, even though I don't like pink! I have, however, three granddaughters who love the color, so that explains that!
I really like several in all of them but i have been gravitating toward the Rich Regals lately. I love Taken with Teal, Regal Rose, and Rose Red. I also have been liking Elegant Eggplant (among several others!).
I love Earth Elements and if anyone tried to take my Old Olive away from me they would have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands. I also love Creamy Caramel, More Mustard and Not Quite Navy. With that said....I love Soft Subtles and Rich Regals too!
Happy Easter! Earth Elements for me. The colors are all just so true and easy to work with. I usually introduce new stampers using this family. They get the Stampin' Spots, pack of paper, a neutral paper (I love Sahara Sand) and a versatile stamp set and they're on their way. It's a little less intimidating that way.

Happy Easter!!
I love all the family's!! Depending on the project, but since your making me choose!! I'll go with RR, that was the first group I fell for, then EE as I got more into SU. But I love that we have so many colors as there seems to be a project for every color and vise versa!!
I forgot to add my favorite colors!! For RR I love the Elegant Egplant,Bravo Burgandy and the Handsom Hunter they are really great strong colors and roe EE I like the Chocolate Chip, really Rust and Old Olve, and Cameo Coral.
Although after taking a look at the families I'm not so sure!! They are all so great!
Okay, I've only been buying stampin up stuff for about a year (if that). I only have the Soft Subtles family, but I love the earth elements! I bought Soft Subtles because I just had my 2nd baby girl and was doing a lot of baby pages at that time. Out of EE, my favorite is Chocolate Chip. I love browns! Since I've only been working with SS, my favorite from that family is Certainly Celery
I must admit this was an easy vote for me... Earth Elements. I always seem to grab that color group. However, thanks to SCS, I have been expanding my color combo with the Color Challenges.
I am a soft subtles girl. I love pale/perfect plum, sage shadow, bashful blue. I do like so saffron too.
I just saw that you liked sage shadow. Check it out mixed with Not Quite Navy. I have used it in a few "strange" mixes and when I tell my customers what color it is (SAGE SHADOW?!?) they are very surprised. It's a great color that mixes well with alot of others.

I have seen alot of responses and gallery pics mentioning Color CHallenges. What is it and how can I get in on the mix?
And don't you just love Close to Cocoa? It seems to go with everything.

Earth Elements for me (all of them), then Rich Regals, Soft Subtles & Bold Brights & all of the IN Colors exc. VV (really dark). Seems to go with the colors I usually reach for in clothing too!

The color challenges are part of the weekly challenges here on SCS. Here's the link Forums at Splitcoaststampers for the color challenges. All the challenges are GREAT. I used to have time to do them, now I hardly ever have time.
That was a hard one. I like different colors from each family. But yesterday I used mostly Rich Regals so that's what I put. I think I'd put Earth Elements next but I really love Orchid Opulence and brilliant blue from the BB and apricot appeal and certainly celery from SS. Too bad there wasn't a choice of mixed families.
Earth Elements is my favorite family, but my fav color is blue. Of course, the only blue in the EE family is Not Quite Navy and I find that odd - I would expect a sky blue or an ocean blue in that family as the sky and various bodies of water are blue and part of the earth as well. Hey, I think I just stumbled on to a reason to keep Cool Caribbean (my current fav color)...what do y'all think?!?
