I'll probably make cards (as always), but this year I found a seller on ETSY who makes super-cute silhouettes of your kids. So I'm buying this year instead of making.

I am finishing the project I started for Christmas and then had to put aside.
I bought a Close To My Heart event calendar from my wonderful CTMH rep.
I have 6 of the months done and 6 to go for stamping. Then I'm going to write in ALL the family dates- birthdays, anniversaries etc- so that Mom will have a cute and easy reference she can hang on the wall.
I think I am going to make my MIL a set of birthday cards and put postage stamps on the envelopes. She is on a limited income and has so many birthdays (children, grandkids, etc.) that I think she will appreciate it.
I think I'm going to find a template from Papertrey -- one of Lauren's Timeless Templates so that I can present it all wrapped up in a professional way.
Or, if life gets in the way, I'll send her a gift certificate!!

I just bought All Boxed Up the other day. Love it!!

A couple of years ago for Mother's Day I made my mom a stationery set. I used a wooden box from Hobby Lobby, painted and decorated and filled with notecards decorated stationery sheets and matching envelopes. Last year, she asked for a refill and has already let me know that she is running low.
My mom is an SU demonstrator but hardly finds time to stamp the things she wants to do...
I'm going to put together a set of cards for her and make a little gift box for them that I found in the resources section...
She also has her kitchen decorated in chef's so I'm going to stamp the Voila! chef on a couple pillar candles for her to put in the kitchen! The candles are so cute and easy to make!! I bought pillars at Dollar Tree and they're decent and unscented!!
I haven't quite decided what I am doing just yet. The idea of so many of you making up cards with envelopes and stamps on them sounds really good to me. She is 88 and on a limited income also. Why hadn't I thought of that before. (Hitting myself on the forehead here). lol
Our dates are different to yours so Mother's Day has been and gone here in the UK! I made this jar - I figured it could be used to store ribbons or buttons or something after the edible contents are gone!
I think I'm going to buy some nice Crane stationery, then stamp it for a personalized touch. My mom still writes letters, so hopefully she'll get lots of use out of it. I'll probably throw in a few cards, too.
A wedding album. My aunt unexpectedly mailed me 2 Ziploc bags of old family photos, including my parents' wedding pictures (ones taken by family members, the non-professional ones). I scanned them, then printed them out at Ritz, and am now making a 9x9 album of them. It's so much fun!
I got one of those Bo Bunny chipboard books and spelled out MOTHER, with each letter at the end of each page. I made it into a mini scrapbook book. I used my SU Define Your Life to stamp a definition on each letter page M=memories O=original T=together H=happy E=everything R=remember. I tried to include pictures to match each definition. Remember when we had to do this in elementary school, find an adjective for each letter for Mother, Thanksgiving, etc.? I also made her a mini brag book with pics of her grandchildren. I got to break-in my new BIA -- love that thing!!!!

This sounds really nice!!! You should let us know if you put it in your gallery.
I don't remember where I saw it, have to go look, but I saw someone who used an old Scrabble set to make a framed piece of art, she took all the tiles and spelled out things that were meaningful to or about the recipient, it was the coolest thing, so artsy and personal! My mom is a Scrabble nut, so I am busy wih my hot glue gun getting that ready! (and it worked out perfectly becuase i have an old fashioned Scrabble set, but a few years ago a friend gave me the deluxe edition that has the spinning board and grid to hold the tiles on place etc so I can recycle the old one! (But if you want to make your own, I bet you coulld pick one up at a garage sale or Goodwill for a $1 or so!)
I'm also planning on making 12 cards with my flowers stamps, each one different. Then I'll send her one a month for the next year, kind of like a virtual bouquet!

I love that idea! TFS. My mom loves word puzzles including Scrabble. Now the wheels are spinning!

I do this for my MIL, who is 84 yo. She LOVES it. I include a bunch of sympathy cards, too. It's an unfortunate fact of life at her age. I make return address labels for her, too, since her eyesight is getting poor. She likes things more "cute" than I usually make, but I'm in an image swap for Copic-friendly images, so I think I will use some of those images on cards. It works out perfect: I get to practice blending with my Copics and then the artwork will get to be appreciated by her and the recipient. It's a win-win.
My mother is harder. She won't actually use the cards I make, "because they are too nice!". I may do an altered canvas with a few photos of her and my late father.

forgot to say if it wasn't clear: the tiles were glued onto the actual board so it was a huge square, made a great statement on the wall!
