I'm a nightowl at heart, and now that I'm retired I can indulge myself and stay up as late as I want! Hooray for me.
I love to get started on something after dinner, and then just work on it all evening. I'm one of those folks that gets a second wind after the 10:00 news, lol. So sometimes I'm still at it at 1:00 or 2:00 am. since I know I can sleep in.

I'm an early bird, but I like to walk for a few hours and stamp mid-day - I work out design ideas on my walk. I'm horrible at night - I can hardly think after 3, since I get up at about 5 AM.

That's me on weekends. I'm wide awake in the middle of the night! Weekdays I'm still working to support my stamping habit so I have to go to bed early to get up in the mornings.

I guess I am kind of a bi-polar crafter..HA! I get up horrificly early so most days I start about mid morning ( after everything that it takes to keep up a house for 6 people ) then I have most of the day until the two youngest ( and subsequently the two loudest) get home at 2:45. After the kids start trickling in there is NO hope of getting anything remotely creative done except for dinner LOL. Then my husband gets home around 8-8:30 so I try to sit with him..and after a little TV I am done. Now on the weekends, I can get my mojo after everyone goes to bed..but that is actually rare..summers are a nightmare for me. It is late in the evening or after they are asleep..Like I said..I am all over the place..LOL
Hmmm.....Ideally I would like to create during the day while it's just me, myself and I at home. In reality though I get my bet mojo in the evenings so that is when I do most of my stamping/beading/whatever creative project....
I do this in between making dinner, supervising homework, running my heathen children to kingdom come and back...
I used to be able to stay up really late, really consistently but these days i'm lucky if I can stay awake til 11.
not sure why I can't seem to create when I have the most time to do it but I just go with it and thankfully I have a very gracious and forgiving family

That sounds just like me! And everybody knows not to call our house before 9 am!

I work too so I'm evening/weekends when I'm not working THOSE too...so I skip the chores most days:-)
I have odd hours at times and sometimes have some time off during the day. I used to stamp some then but don't much anymore...I hate starting and then having to stop when it's time to go to work. If I were retired or stayed at home I'd probably be an afternoon stamper!

well....I'm not retired so I can't always indulge myself yet ... but on the weekends I definitely get my second wind about 10 pm ... during the week
8pm-ish ... I cringe to think what I'd come up with if I stamped in the morning, LOL

For me, it's whenever I get a chance in between kid and household stuff during the day. It's just me and my youngest in the morning when my other two kids are at school so I don't get a chance to stamp then most of the time unless he takes a good nap. Most of the time, it's in the afternoon after my daughter gets home from kindergarten and we have lunch and such. I don't stamp late because my stamp stuff is in our bedroom and my husband has to go to bed early because he gets up in the middle of the night for work and I'm so not a morning person! lol
I USED to be a night owl-all my growing up years and in my early "momma" years the only time I could do anything creative (or mop the floor) was after the little ones were in bed. Now that we are empty-nesters and I can stay up I don't have the brain power to do it. Most of my creative energy is during the daylight hours. After dinner I don't get much accomplished unless I get a second wind (usually of the caffeine variety!)
After dinner is my most creative time ... or with my coffee in the morning. It seems my creativity is tied to my pajamas LOL! I have always been a wicked night owl, especially when my kids were little. Late at night was the only time I could scrap/stamp and have some peace.
Now I'm getting kind of lazy, I guess. I spend more time on the computer and less time creating. Not good!

I'm with bugga, I'm a night owl and get most of my best inspiration after 10 p.m., especially since I retired.
I think I'm at my best mid-morning. I'm not sleepy. I'm not yet exhausted. The sun is shining. The day still seems to hold all sorts of possibilities.
However, I have a full time job, and my training for bicycle races is essentially a second job. So I usually only have an hour or so on weekdays, right before bed. Sometimes I'm just too exhausted. On the weekends, I usually am either racing or getting my training done mid-morning.
I've started to break down my card making into the design and assembly phase. I use my ideal time (when I'm awake and alert) to design. I use my late nights to duplicate and assemble. Tonight, I know I need to make 11 of a certain card so I sat down with my cuttlebug and cut all the die pieces I need. It's a small accomplishment, but at least it's something.

The only time I can stamp is when I "need" a card. I just can't make them ahead. Weekend mornings are best. I'm not a night person. I'm like Lydia. I get up about 5:00 and I can't function after 7:00.
When I offer stamp-a-stacks on Friday nights after a long week I can hardly add 2+2!

I used to stay up late at night and stamp away. I would be up for hours and it was nice because everyone was sleeping, but I guess I'm getting older now and I find it hard to stay up that late anymore. So I'm usually stamping in the mornings now because my kids are in school. It's quieter in the mornings and my youngest child plays so nice while I'm stamping. She’ll even ask me when we are going downstairs to make some cards…LOL
I always get my creative surges when I'm no where NEAR my craft room. Ugh. I try to jot down the idea I had but I can't draw to save my life... so usually when I do get near my craft room the idea I had is usually gone. Sigh.
That said, I usually stamp in the evening/night.... usually the day before it needs to be done.

I guess I jinxed myself today....LOL The school nurse called me and I just had to pick up some up from school because he wasn't feeling well. (My son is better now, he just had a bad tummy ache), but there goes my stamping time...LOL
Well, NOT early morning here, I'd spill my coffee all over everything. It varies, I get an idea and do bits and pieces of it over the day and evening. Being retired, I can pretty much play when I want. There are some benefits to getting older!

I'd agree with you 100% but when the eyes start to go I am needing more daylight darn it! I would love to be crafting late at night but am having to go earlier -about mid afternoon to get enough light as my room is in the basement
