Default What do you use for a StazOn Cleaner?

I'm having a stamp camp this week coming up and I we are doing tiles. What do you normally use to clean your stamps after you use StazOn? I have heard that there is a StazOn cleaner, but I can't find it anywhere. Any good links would be helpful or even a good household cleaner tip would be good. Does 409 work good for StazOn?

Do not use 409 or any product like that. It's very bad for your stamps.

Here are a couple recent discussions about this:

These might help.

If you spray the Stampin' Mist on the stamp right away, that should get off most of the ink.

You could also try inking up the stamp on an old Yoyo Yellow pad. Apparently it has some sort of solvent in the ink that'll clean off your stamps, too. WARNING: It will make your pad dirty.

I've recently seen the StazOn cleaner at Michael's...it's in a small white dauber bottle about 4 inches tall.

I found that the StazON cleaner does not do a very good job of cleaning off the StazOn ink. And I've really rubbed and I clean my stamps immediately.

If you have a new bottle of stampin mist, you can get some of it off, but if you have a defective bottle it will only seal the stazon on. Yoyo Yellow is a tip I passed on a while ago and is in one of the thread links. It works great, but you do have to dedicate one pad solely to the cleaning, it can't be used again. Yoyo Yellow with good stazon makes a great combo.

Default Try Judi Kins stamp cleaner

I LOVE THIS STUFF!!! It really cleans SUPER well. I would love to find out the ingredients to make my own. But it is tried and true to clean your stamps...CLEAN!!
My husband thinks it has some mineral spirits as it's base. But I also think it must have some other conditioning agent for the stamps.

I just bought Stazon cleaner at Michaels on Friday, and had great results with it. It was about 3.50 for a small bottle with the dauber top. Worth every penny since I was using someone elses stamps with the Stazon.

The StazOn cleaner works really better than anything to take the StazOn ink off your stamps, especially if it has been left on them awhile. It lasts a long time too. Since it is in the dauber bottle there is no evaporation like when we spray our Stampin Mist

TIP: Lay your stamp upside down and dab on the StazOn Cleaner. Let it sit there a couple of minutes and then use a WET paper towel to dab off the ink. I don't know what this does but it seems to work better than dry.
If needed, you can repeat the process.

Staz On Cleaner works great on SU Basic Black. Just about melts the ink off the stamps.

I found on another post a suggestion to use 'AWESOME' clearner that you can get at the dollar store for a dollar. When I was down in the States a week ago I picked up some and it works really well. I clean my stamps, then use a clean/conditioner to condition the rubber...but use way less. Someone also suggested the Mr Clean erasers...they work really well to clean off really tough stains...I would cut up the eraser though so it will go further. The last one was use Un-Do and a Q-tip.

I too use the "AWESOME" cleaner from the Dollar Tree store.
One of the ladies in our stamp club recommended it.
I just spray it on and clean it off on my scrub pad.

Thank you all for your great tips. Our Michaels carries just the basics. We have another one in our area and I may have to take a trip there and see if they carry the StazOn cleaner, but I may try the Awesome cleaner and the magic eraser as well. Thanks everyone.

I use Staz On cleaner only. Have not found anything else works as well. I've seen this at Michael's and I beleive that Addicted to Rubber Stamps (http://www.addictedtorubberstamps.com/Display.asp) also carries this. If you ordered it today; you would likely have your order by Wednesday 11/17 - they are sooooooooo fast! HTH

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! That's what I needed! You just saved me a trip through awful traffic to a store that probably doesn't carry the cleaner yet, anyway. Thank you.
