Default What do you consider to be an "embellishment"?

I'm curious ... besides the obvious [glitter, brads, eyelets, ribbon, etc.], what do you consider to be an embellishment?

Merriam-Webster defines "embellish" as such:

1 : to make beautiful with ornamentation : decorate embellished with illustrations> 2 : to heighten the attractiveness of by adding decorative or fanciful details : enhance

Punched cardstock! I had to cover up a boo-boo on this card, so I punched a Word Window shape and covered it up. Looks like 'I meant to do that'!

where were you yesterday meerkat when i smudged black ink on my finished card??? I'm not sure it was fixable with a punch, but it would probably be a prettier solution than the one I came up with (spoinging ink all over that section - looks icky!!)

I figure anything that can be stapled, glued, stitched, anchored, nailed, eyeleted (?), punched, poked, or pressed into another surface, it's an embellishment...right?

I think that anything that is not cardstock is an embellishment. Beads, buttons, ribbons, brads, eyelets, glitter... the list goes on and on!

I'm with meerkat3. Besides the obvious ribbons, brads, eyelets, etc., I also consider punched images as embellishments. I have every SU punch that they have, so most of my cards have some sort of punch on them.
