Hi. I hope I am posting right. I am new, and absolutely love the site. Anyway, my question is....what do I do with all the cards I make. LOL. I make far more than I can send, and all of my girls stamp, so, ....... Do any of you sell you cards, and if so, where, and for how much??
I would really appreciate help.
Thanks in advance.
I hate making or having more than one of a card design but with now having 4 cardmaking classes a month I have tons of duplicates. I put them in a box in my shop with a sign that says "Extra Cards - $1.00" and they all disappear. I know that's too cheap to sell them but I figure at $1.00 I'm more than getting my money back and no one will hesitate to buy a card for $1.00.
I catagorize mine in boxes and put them in the teachers lounge at my school. They fly out the window for $2.00 each wich includes a matching stamped envelope. I have learned to put them in the plastic sleeves for protection. I take them in about twice a month. It helps "clear out" my habit and I use the money to buy more stamps. This last time I include some stamped note pads for $3-$5. I sold them all. The teachers love it and look forward to me bringing in my cards.
I have made 7 sets of 6 cards each (with envelopes) for my friends for Christmas. Your friends/family will LOVE to get them as gifts. My daughter is a teacher and NOT a stamper. She loves getting them. Loves sending hand made cards but she doesn't have to make them.
If you are a demonstrator you could give them to some of your hostess' as a bonus. Makes them feel special.
I started a card ministry at my church and now mail out birthday cards to everyone at church. I don't sign my name, I just write that it is from everyone at church and I have heard several nice comments about it. It makes others feel good, I feel good for making them feel good and it justifies my habit! :-)

PS Our church also collects cards at Christmas time for inmates at the county jail. I don't think I will get time to make some but if I do, I plan on donating some for that as well.
I put together card sets for holidays. I also have donated to nursing homes since they can't get out and buy cards. More recently I send them to a lady on here that mails them to the troops so they can send a card to their family.
