I am making my daughter's but we are still working on the design. I saw a card fold this weekend and I love it for her invites...let me go find it.

Diagonal Double Pocket Card Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

Look at the very last part and the card can be folded to the back for a 'regular' card with pockets.

I am thinking the pockets for the on-line wedding view card (wedding is in Vegas) and the invite to the RSVP card with the invite to the Dallas reception on the inside.

I have her save the date and will try to upload it.

Here is her Save the Date I did. The message is printed on Vanilla vellum mounted on Very Vanilla, Old Olive (embossed) and Basic Black. I made the little tie by punching 2 holes , running the ribbon to the back and then crisscrossing and back to the front.wedding invitations help!!!!-img037.jpg

Linda, this would be the perfect card for wedding invites, thanks for suggestion! My daughter is getting married in May 2011, so that would be plenty of time to make these! HOw about the SU wedding paper, is that still available?

You ladies who make wedding invites are amazing...I have turned down two more requests to make them this last weekend. I get a lot of requests from my hubbys work but I just dont want the stress....

I am undertaking this for a former co-worker of mine. She is just a real sweetheart and wants something basically simple. I am doing this as a wedding present to her. If I have a nervous breakdown, I will never do these again!!!

I'm making wedding invitations for a dear friend. We decided we liked the idea of pocketfolds (see the link above to cards & pockets) but they were out of her budget. I did some playing with a scrap piece of paper and figured out how to make the pocketfolds ourselves for about 25 cents per pocketfold versus the $1.50 per pocketfold if we bought them.

I figured out where to cut & score & fold, then bought a sheet of 19"x25" artist paper from Hobby Lobby for $1.99 a sheet. You can get it in many colors and textures. It'll be a lot of cutting, scoring, folding and gluing. We're planning on having a glue & assembly party with a lot of helpers

There's lots of tutorials online from brides and The Knot has been a great source of DIY wedding stationary stuffs.
