Default Wedding day countdown calendar?

My neice is getting married in 43 days.. she has been announcing the number of days on facebook for the last 2 weeks straight!

Her bridal shower is next month and I thought I would make her an advent-like wedding day countdown calendar as a little side (maybe funny) gift. I haven't decided if I'll make it with little funnies about married life behind each countdown day or if I'll just make it pretty.

Anyone ever make something like this? What do you all think? Got any sources or ideas for about 20 funny marriage tips?
You know there are emails circulating with funnies but I'll be darned if I have any right now.

thanks, Sue

I think that making a calendar is a great idea. What about using the Karen Foster 3D Countdown Calendar?

Hey that's a neat idea. My daughter also has a wedding countdown on facebook. I am curious what ideas people may come up with.

Hey Sue! What about something like an Advent calendar? I love the cookie sheet style with a magnetic countdown!
Here is one example I found online

Thanks for the link ruebimages...hadn't seen those before

Whatever I do will be numbered for a countdown..

I was thinking of putting 4 rows of 5 boxes similiar to this link with maybe a tag with a marriage tip in each box (probably a piece of choc too):
Matchbox Advent calender by angeljakki at Splitcoaststampers

or a box of matchboxes that hold choc like..
Box of Matchboxes by Hallie G. at Splitcoaststampers

I have the wording for the last day of the countdown, the wedding day.

"Today is the day
I become his wife,
God Bless me and Jordy
for the rest of our life"

Only 19 more things to think up.. good thing I have some time.
I have to throw funny stuff in there too ..like..
"When I get mad,
count to 10
consider his side
before clucking like a hen"

well, it needs a little work... like I said, I have some time

I did this for a friend and what I included was 25 free/cheap dates. like go to a park have a picnic, simple stuff like that. I figured this way they can always open up a drawer to see what kind of fun they'd be having

Sue,

How about something silly like this:

Now you have 3 rings...
An Engagement Ring
A Wedding Ring
And Snoring

LOL!

a devil in the bedroom
