If you have You Tube on one of your streaming boxes for your TV you can watch Lindsay's videos on your TV. I subscribe to her channel. Lindsay's videos are the best and very funny.

I am going over my frugal crafting notes this week. I organize them every few months. If any of you have anything you want to know how to do give a shout out and I probably have a recipe or idea. I have, literally, thousands of frugality notes & tutorials on how to make do or make your own supplies. My notes are over 4 Gigs now in size.

Well, I have decided that I hate the thickness of most of my pop-dots. They make my images stick out too much, so I took some thin craft foam and cut it out in pieces, and used my ATG tape to adhere it to my images. Beings as I am using it on cards, it won't matter if it's acid free or not. Not cutting the pieces from the foam sheet until I need them, so I can cut the exact size I want. So far, it's working alright.

My old Roku just blew up. I had one of the first ones. I couldn't get You Tube on the original one. I checked some of the tech sites and the word is the new Roku does not have an official You Tube channel but you can add it as a private channel with the newer boxes.

I just bought the NetGear box. It does have YouTube in 1080pixels. I can see my subscriptions on my NetGear box.

I don't have the Wii. I am waiting impatiently for the new one to come out in November. I checked my tech sites again and no You Tube support I could find but you might be able to add it manually or download videos to an SD card.

Do you have a Blu-Ray player with streaming support? Most of the Blu-Ray players have YouTube. I have a Sony Blu-Ray that has You Tube support. DH & I do not stream TV through it because we didn't like the Netflix menu. There was no search feature.

This is a good idea. I didn't have an ATG tape runner so I put the foam strips through my little Zyron Sticker maker instead. It worked pretty good.

Your post made me laugh. I don't like the thickness of pop dots either, lol. I don't like the color not matching my cardstock. That is a huge peeve of mine. I make my own pop dots with foam too. That way I can use different colors of foam to match my CS. I use Aleene's Quck Dry Tacky Glue to adhere my dots. I love the ATG tape idea.

I just filled a syringe with Silicone Glue for another foam dot alternative. I see a lot of our UK girls use this method for their 3D work. I always admired how nice it looks.

This is a great idea. I would probably make it even easier on myself and put a large sheet of double-sided adhesive on each side of the foam. Then cut pieces from it as needed. It would probably be a lot cheaper than buying pop dots too.

Oooh, nice adaptation of a great idea. I have a nice 'wardrobe' of Scor-tape in different widths, so I could lay down a strip of, for example, 1.5. inch wide tape on either side of a strip of foam, and it'd be ready and waiting to peel off the liner on both sides. One 1.5 by 11 inch chunk would make a lot of pieces.
I don't think I could live without my Scor-tape!

I like to buy the double stick foam roll from the dollar tree 2 for$1 I use those on my cards. I can cut to to what ever size I need and if I need more pop depth I just stick 2 pieces together.

This is what I do, too. The resulting diminution is less than the pop dots. For those of you who like the foam due to its color, you can get fun foam that already has adhesive on one side, so then all that is needed is to use your xyron, double tape or score tape to adhere it on the other side.

I've never used Scor-tape brand, but I love the Miracle tape from Viva Las Vegastamps- here:
Miracle Tape

I bought the tape bundle deal when I was in Las Vegas, and it's going to last me forever! (You've got to love the opportunity to NOT pay shipping, lol! DH had his orders, if we were going to Vegas, I was going to visit Stampo's store in person. Hey, everybody has their priorities, and mine was going to the stamp store!)

If you're ever in Vegas, it's a stamper's MUST visit! He has a whole table full of unmounted rubber at about a buck a piece, and some have 5 or 6 images on the piece! (It's the World Famous Rubber Buffet!) And then there's a table of really cheap wood mounted stamps. This is not to mention all the racks of regular stamps- more than you have ever seen in one place, by a long shot! Whatever your taste is, you can find some there. My husband brought a book, sat on a chair and read while I spent a couple hours with a mirror, checking out the unmounted stuff. (You need a mirror to read them, lol!) I got a ton of stamps, and almost a cat, too. One of his cats tried to climb into one of my bags at the register! It was a stamper's Paradise.

Pat, your just trying to make us jealous! ROFL! I want to go to VLV so much. My friends are trying to get me to slow down some in my schedule so they can take me gambling in Las Vegas. I am really good at cards and gambling. There is my secret. Now you all know, lol. I told my friends there is no way I am going to spend all my time in Casinos when I can go to VLV. They can not figure this out. Stampo's cats can come home with me. I love his furbabies! I did spend time crafting tonight while I played Texas Hold Em poker online. I am really jealous you got to spend so much time in there. ! So lucky!

Yeah, but when you figure DH wouldn't take me to a single SHOW, then I deserved my time with Stampo!

That would have gotten the glare eye from me the whole vacation. Your DH is going to need a redo of your Las Vegas vacation. !

Other than buying used or getting the Martha Stewart for half off with a coupon, no.
I lucked out on the Scor Pal- the Scor Pal Angel sent me one free of charge! Needless to say, I was thrilled. Free is my favorite price!!!

I actually do know how to make a Scor-Pal free or cheap. It's one of our Lindsay's tutorials, lol. Seriously! This is a really great tutorial. Here you go:
Make a scoring board for free! « Thefrugalcrafter’s Weblog

I have a Scor-it and a MS ScoreBoard. Both were gifts so they were both technically free.

Pat, I noticed you live in the middle of nowhere Kansas. I lived in the middle of Nowhere Kansas too growing up, lol. I got a huge laugh out of that. Most of my family and friends are still living in the middle of nowhere Kansas.

I'm originally from Michigan (first 51 years of my life), specifically the Detroit area. For me the move to Wichita was a BIG change! It's a nice town, but holy cow! it's hot here!!! I'm not used to weeks on end of over 100 degrees. And naturally, it's WAY different from the Detroit area. I miss trees and water.
What part of middle of nowhere did you live in?

I do not miss Kansas Summers. It's just dry, miserable and more miserable. My heart goes out to you. I told my husband the other day in Kansas you can actually see the heat.

I lived in Topeka, Wichita, & Paola. All my family lives in Wichita, Emporia, Coffee County Kansas, Lyon County Kansas & around Winfield. If it's a small town in Lyon or Coffee County I have family there, lol.

Pat, I too grew up in the Detroit area, Grosse Ile (Downriver) to be exact. Moved to Knoxville TN and love it here...but like you the summers are WAY hot and humid. Where did you live in MI? My brothers and sister are still up there so we visit often...but not in the winter

I have a Scor-it and a MS ScoreBoard. Both were gifts so they were both technically free.

What part of middle of nowhere did you live in?
Move to Kentucky, you get trees, water AND heat, humidity!

As a child I lived in Salina and Wichita. I seem to remember the wind blowing constantly.

Redford, right between Livonia and the Detroit border. I lived right on Inkster Road, which was the dividing line between Livonia and South Redford.
My mother was from the south, her family mostly lived in Chattanooga, TN., so I have experienced the south in the summer, every summer when we went to visit. Even as kid, I couldn't stand that wet soggy humid heat. Yuck!

BTW- it's 106 here today. Try getting into your closed up car (that has a black interior) after work. Suffocating.

I have to say, though, Kentucky is beautiful. And it's worse further south, like Georgia where my aunt lived. Kentucky has horses, that was a major point in it's favor with me growing up, as we would drive through on our way to Tennessee & Georgia.

Yup, windy. Makes it great for the big wind farms, with all those huge turbines! DH would love to have a windmill, but we have covenants and the homeowner's association wouldn't allow it. He has 6 solar panels on the roof, though. If the power goes out, we still have lights and my deep freeze is still running.
