Reason: To add more questions
Favortite item to stamp: Probably sentiments, quotes, etc.
Favorite technique: Love ripping and layering - and lately I'm having fun sewing.
Who enjoys your artwork the most?: Honestly, it would have to be me. I enjoy it so much, sometimes I hate to give them away!
Favorite color scheme: Is there something other then earth tones?
Favorite sentiment stamp: Impossible to choose. I have many from Wordsworth & Penny Black. The quotes are fun and it's nice to find just the right occasion to use one.
What technique haven't you tried that you would like to?: Well, I see so many gorgeous techniques that artists on this website use and I truly think I'm technique-challenged. Last night I got out the saran wrap for the first time and... I mean... is it really that simple? I dunno - just never looks right when I do it... but I drool at the gorgeous samples on this site. I also don't get the polished stone, but it looks very cool.
Favorite sentiment stamp: Happy Birthday (all year cheer)
What technique haven't you tried that you would like to?: Anything on Glossy Cardstock (Don't have any SU so the other stuff has not turned out so well!)

not sure why but I really like how this card turned out.
Favortite item to stamp:Anything I can hold down, I recently stamped two rooms in my house although I have textured walls (military housing) so it didn't turn out as well as it would have if the walls were smooth but the rooms are still cute.
Favorite technique:Polished Stone
Who enjoys your artwork the most?:My DH He insists that when I stamp something new I have to send a picture to him via email to Iraq so he can see what I have come up with.
Favorite color scheme:Mellow Moss and Perfect Plum
Favorite sentiment stamp:The best thing about tomorrow is it comes one day at a time. (Brighter Tomorrow)
What technique haven't you tried that you would like to?: Faux Leather with Masking Tape
Favorite accessory:I like them all!
My favorite card I have ever done is actually the polished stone one in my gallery. It is simple but elegant and everytime I see it I am amazed that I did it. It was my first attempt at polished stone. Here is the link: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
It looks better in person then in the picture.
Great thread!

I'm rather a newbie .. what is OMS? This might be something I must do/have/buy?!!!
Vickie - OMS is odorless mineral spirits (aka Gamsol - one brand name). It's used to blend the prismacolor pencils. Since prismacolors are not watersoluble (like watercolor pencils) you can't use your aquapainter or blender pens.
I have one for each color. I label the side of the sponge dauber. I use them to sponge the edge of cardstock, age paper, stamp soft circles, but mostly to sponge the edge of cardstock. It really softens the look, adds dimension and texture. I LOVE them. You could also do this technique with the stampin' sponges, but the stampin' sponges pick up more ink. The sponge daubers give a softer look. Here is a card that I did using a sponge dauber with the coordinating ink on the edges.
Thank you so much for posting the link for the colored pencil technique. I didn't want to admit it, but that's another technique I have all thumbs trying. I bought the odorless mineral spirits, the blending stumps...got it all....and I still have no luck. I'll have to study those directions and try again! THanks!

HI RACHAEL -
I have a sneaky feeling that maybe we're both talking about two different types of daubers. The ones I'm talking about are actually Dauber Duos and there is ink on both ends (made by Tsukineko). They are roughly 3" in length and a little thicker then a marker or pencil. By your description, I believe you're talking about the SU!'s white foam padded daubers that do not come with ink in them, but you use them to add ink from an ink pad - am I right? I use the make-up triangles for this - and you're right... you need one for every colour!
I had never read on this site where someone else had used the Dauber Duos, so that's why I had to question it. They are nifty little things I guess, but the caps keep falling off and I just use them on a stamp where I want to add colour to just one area of the stamp (like green for leaf portion only). I wish there were more uses, because I did buy quite a few a while back.
