Default Using Colored pencils (w/o Gamsol)

Does NE1 use colored pencils to color in their images? I am not talking about using them with the Gamsol. I mean just on their own. Do you like using them? Any tips you can share.

Try the gallery of Deeth1
deeth1's Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

She uses colored pencils and uses white erasers to help blend as well as some other type of things because she is allergic to Gamsol type solvents. I think you will enjoy her gallery anyway!

I LOVE using my prismas without any type of blending tool - it creates such depth to the color. If you go to www.lockhartstampcompany.com Karen has a fantastic "tutorial" on coloring tulips (and using an embossing stylus). I will be adding more samples to my blog over the next few days (I hope) as well - just using prismas and no blending tools.

A couple of tips I have are to start light - really light! Then go back over it again, and again to add layers of color. I choose at least 3 different colors from the same color family as well as one that sort of "pops". Again I hope to show more detail on my blog in the very near future .

I use my pencils & blend them with just a regular old dry Q-tip. Making heavy lines & blending. Works great.

I use watercolor pencils and my blender pen. I love that effect.
