Default Use What you Have....

While preparing a bottle at 2:00am for my 3 month old baby, I noticed the jumbo baby formula cans looked similar to the paint cans. Since my daughter is contributing 8-10 diapers per day to the landfills, I thought I would recycle these cans and make some pretty gifts for my son's teachers. So easy and really effective!!

that is a great thought, you crack me up with the land fill contributions...I am impressed that the idea came to you at such a horrible hour...let us know what they look like when you are done!!

Default Formula Cans

I finished it at 3:30am (after the baby went back down)---since I am already up, I might as well be creative!

What a fantastic idea! These turned out so stinkin' cute, and to be able to
recycle the formula cans is also awesome! Your son's teachers are very
lucky and I think they'll love these. And how lucky are your kids to have
such a clever Mom!! And all of that clever craftyness (is that a word) @
3:30 am! Hope you can sneak in a little nap @ some point today. You
deserve it.

That's great!

When I first visited this board and everyone was posting about paint cans, I was so confused why no one (or maybe I missed it) was recycling coffee cans instead of buying paint cans!

If you're worried about those diapers, you could hook up with a friend of mine and stamp your own fabric which could be turned into cloth diapers (all in ones - not what your parents would've used) ;) Her name is Mere and her website is http://www.rainbowsenddesigns.com/ - when I discussed it for my next child she said she didn't think it would be a problem - but I'm still on the fence about cloth diapering, lol. (Though I use her covers for my dd all the time to 'decorate' her hind-end under dresses

BTW, totally cute can!
