Default Unused stamp

Is there anything I should put on the wood of a new stamp??

any certain thing to clean it with when I am done??

when I buy them unmounted I spray paint them with clear paint before I mount so the ink doesn't get on them....

Depending on the size of the stamp, you could also use clear nail polish. I usually do it after I mount, that way I don't use so much!
