This was a hard decision for me, too, because I have a full-size sewing machine that I could use and spend the $$ on more stamp sets. However, I like how all of the different cool tools can be kept neatly in the binder so that I don't have to go hunting for my anywhere punch (or whatever tool it is that I need at the moment) in my rolling toolcart. And with the little piercing tool and pad, I can sit with the family while they watch TV and do what would normally require going to my craft room to use the sewing machine.
true about the sewing machine, but I wouldn't want to lug it around to make some holes in a card at a friends house. If you do workshops I would invest in it to show and upsell it with the eyelets. It has its own case to keep everything in its place, so little things don't get lost or misplaced. It makes you as a demo more organized and professional looking.
Plus I keep my sewing machine in the closet, on the top shelf so it would be very much a hastle for me to use the sewing machine. This is just my situation. I am sure there are others who keep there sewing machine dustfree and right next to there stamping table.
I too, was surprised by the price and not sure if I'd get it. But thanks to some birthday money, I was able to get it and now, I can't imagine living w/o it. It's really great. Having 3 mats all in one little carrying case is awesome. I love that the paper piercing guide also is a guide for eyelets of both sizes. All of the tools are pretty useful once you really get crafting. And, having it as a demo, has been so much better for my business!
I have a piercing tool and pad well actually a few of em for when I can't find mine. I absolutely love it. But I have a lot of Piercing Templates that I use. They are great tho i use them for alot more than just piercing. I also make punch Cards and seems like I am always needing a hole in something. This is one of my Must have tools.
Now I need to get a Sewing machine so I can sew on cards and layouts too hehe
i am with the others. I couldn't justify buying it, but after a particularly large workshop where I had instant income to cover it, I chose to buy it. love it now! everything is right there. compact tool and case - just need to demonstrate with it more.
I love it so much I created a class to showcase all of its potential. I can't draw a straight line with a ruler much less line up holes for piercing or for eyelets. I already had an eyelet tool kit but felt it was worth the investment for the paper piercing and eyelet template. I don't regret it one bit. It is competitively priced when compared with just the eyelet toolkit by Memories. If you want to earn your money back just use it in your workshops. I don't have a sewing machine I am afraid of their speed. Personally it is easier to carry the Crafters' Tool Kit to a workshop than a sewing machine. I loved the In Full Bloom card sample in the Summer 2004 On Stage magazine.
