Default ? for those who sell their cards... re: clear envelopes...

I am planning on selling my individual cards in clear plastic envelopes. Do you buy the kind with or without flaps?

I use both...big help, eh?! I like the no flap because I don't have to worry about accidently getting the sticky on my cards...they are also cheaper but still look professional.

The flaps will keep people from pulling them out. Also, the clear with flap can be used as the actual envelope so you could sell them that way...without a white/cream envelope. Some people may feel cheated that way. The ones with flaps can also hold mini notepads and a pen...I just found that out for teacher appreciation!

Can I ask where you might get them, besides SU!? I'm sure there has to be a cheaper source out there if you're buying in quantity. And to think, I used to work in a stationery store, and never made note of where the sleeves came from! I tried googling, but mostly found printed ones.

I got mine off of ebay BEFORE I became a demo. I might buy some from SU and see how they compare now.

I always package my cards in the clear envelopes with the flaps. I buy them from Paperzone and stock up on them when they have their 15% off sales.

I buy mine at www.clearbags.com but I think their sister site (for smaller orders) is the clearenvelope site some one mentioned above. At the clear bags site you can buy even clear boxes to sell a pack of cards at a time or to give as a gift.

The prices are cheap but they sell in 100s at a time! Its always a good idea to order with a friend (or two) and then save on shipping. I even buy the small size for trading cards or to sell tags at Christmas time.

I know our Paperzone has them, but they buy them from clearbags.com and then mark them up!
