Iowa isn't so bad, I live closer to Sioux Falls, then I do Iowa City, but you're moving to the right part of the state. Lot's to do, there. I know around this part of the state there are lots of SU'ers demos and customers. I know from other sites that there is quite a bit of activity over that way, and a really cool store, too. When you can, go to Oskaloosa, Expressions with Heart, totally awesome store. Good Luck and Best Wishes, Northwest Iowa welcomes you.

I am in Rockland Co. NY now, but I lived in Cedar Rapids, and Iowa City for many years and LOVED it there. I have many many stories...but I'll spare you and only share one (for now, anyway! LOL).
Go to a bookstore/library and check out Truth and Beauty: A Friendship by Ann Patchett. If nothing else, skim Chapter 2. The neighbor Nancy there was ME! We lived on South Governor St. in Iowa City and Ann and her roommate Lucy were my neighbors in a green duplex there. We all were in graduate school at the time - they in the Writer's workshop, I was in Sociology Dept.
Enough about me! Keep an open mind and do some searching via google.com for things in which you are interested - along with Iowa City in the search. Ya never know what you'll find out! Schools are excellent (my son graduated high school there). It is an international community due to the University of Iowa being a big 10 school.
If there aren't many stampers there yet, perhaps you can see it as an opportunity to introduce them to it!
Good luck!!
All my best,
Nancy

Hi Linda! I live in Cedar Rapids!!! It is only about 20 minutes north of Iowa City! Where in South Dakota do you live? I lived in Rapid City until I was 9 and then I have lived here since. I LOVED Rapid City but Cedar Rapids is pretty nice too. Good luck on your move!
I'm in Sioux Falls now and I love it here! I know I'll love Iowa City, too--the midwest a great place to live I guess I'm just a little nervous to step out of my comfort zone. Thanks for encouraging me, everyone!
My husband has been transferred to Iowa City. Can anyone give me some encouragement that I'll find Stampin Up! friends there? Moving stinks!
Hey!!! I am 1 hour and 15 minutes southeast of you. Iowa City is my favorite shopping spot not to mention GO HAWKEYES!!!!!!! My husband and I are HUGE Iowa Hawkeye fans. What does your husband do? Our middle daughter was born with a heart defect and we spent lots of time at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. We go up there for check ups every two years now. My personal email is jhurley90@yahoo if you want to gab.
