I decorated test tubes that are so popular around Halloween and filled with seeds from my garden back in September. This would work for Thanksgiving I would think:
I'm making Blessings Mix boxes with my own box design. Thanks to SU demo Angie Juda and her Chic 'n Scratch blog! She has tons of clever ideas for boxes and treats.
I was thinking about matchboxes with candy, but the Blessings Mix will be new and different for my family.
For the place settings I made the m&m tubes....for a joke (im always incharge of making something strange and new) I bought carmel corn packed together to form and ear of corn...really gross if you ask me so its just right.
Then after dinner, we are all going to make our own mini pies. I bought the mini cupcake maker from bj's and it makes 8 cupcakes or pies. Now everyone can have just the pie they like
I made these for our Thanksgiving Table for the 8 kids that will be there, and 23 of them for my son's class that held a small candy bar! THey were a HUGE hit!
I saw this cute post about making cupcakes in a jar. CUPCAKES IN A JAR
That looks so yummy! What a great idea. I am loving this thread. I have to make something for place settings at my mom's on Thanksgiving and have know idea what to make. Thanks everyone for the great ideas!
I have made containers using my Big Shot, filled with candies forthe past several years. This year I bought the candy, but have decided that Martha Stewart needs the day off so I'm skipping-it just puts too much last minute pressure on me.
