Template Printing

I have purchased some of the print-out templates because I thought they would be
so handy. I am, however, having a problem getting cardstock through the printer.
I have a relatively new HP printer and have tried to change the paper type setting.
HP has not advice other than that. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem
and might have some suggestions of what to try?

Some card stock will not fit in the printer very well. Depending on the weight of the card stock.

You might want to try using some thinner card stock first.

i have a problem with my printer picking up papertrey cardstock too.. i have to just put one piece in the loading tray, and sometimes help the printer pick it up by pushing a little on the paper. doesn't always work though...

another thing to consider. I heard that bottom feeding printers vs. back feeding are a little more finicky with cardstock because it has to feed up and around in a loop... i'm looking at new printers to combat this issue so it's good to know about the problems you're having!

I have a top loading printer and I have to feed one sheet of cardstock at a time. I mainly use PTI cardstock.

You may have to print your template onto copy paper and trace it onto your cardstock.

Some printers just are not made to work with cardstock. Sad but true, lol... I like the printers that have a pass through from the back. Things just come out better with less chance for the paper to wiggle out of alignment.

Do you have a manual feed option where you feed in one piece of card stock at a time? I can set my printer to print multiple copies but feed the cs one sheet at a time. It works great but i have to lay the cs on a flat surface and weight it down for a few minutes because the cs curls a little.
