Default TEacher gifts

Okay, I want to make my teacher gifts this year to showcase my products and also make it a special gift. I know teachers usually all get the same old stuff. So, what have you made for teachers, or what do you think would be a great gift to make? I have 4 teachers to make gifts for, so I need to keep costs at a minimum, but I want to make something nice! Thanks in advance for all the great ideas!

I think it's a wonderful question, I was thinking of posting a similar one... thanks for asking it!!

I personally was going to make a set of 4 coasters, but ended up doing them in a workshop that the teachers came to... so need different ideas...
These are my coasters by the way, if you want to do those:

I'm curious what other people are doing...

Post it notes, legal pads, pens...any office supplies are always appreciated by me (I'm a first grade teacher) and are soooo easy to make a stamped project with!

The teachers will appreciate the fact that you made a gift, no matter what it is!!

Have fun
Ashley

Default I did it!

I just got finished making some of the gifts! I made a small paint can filled with candy, a laminated stamped bookmark, a planner(from the $1 store)that I made a new cover for, pebble magnets for her planning board at school, a candle for her desk, and a coaster. I also made a large paint can for my daughters art teacher, stamped "art stuff" on the top and decorated the can and filled with inexpensive art supplies for the classroom that I know that they have to replace all the time - crayons, paints, pencils, etc. Hopefully they will like it! I'll try to get some pictures posted...

I agree with Ashley. As a teacher myself, I love the cutesy office supply stamped items. I think another good gift would be a set of generic thank you cards or everyday cards and envelopes since we are always writing notes home to parents. I am always stamping cards to send home to my parents and students for various things.

By the way, any gift given from the heart is appreciated! We love to know our students and their parents appreciate and support our efforts in the classroom.
Smiles,
Tracey

My mom's a teacher and we went shopping today for teacher gifts... one thing she told me is that she has more mugs, picture frames and candles than she know what to do with...
I like the ideas of things they can use like pens and paper pads and stuff!!

Something I do is to put together 5 cards with envies. I do this at Christmas and at the end of the year. They love them and save them for those "special notes," at least that's what they've all told me. I throw those in with whatever else I decide on. This year I'm doing a Barnes & Noble gift card, she's new and this is what she wants to build her book collection.

I'm in the process of finishing mine right now. I am making matching journals sets. The jr legal pad inside the folder with matching rsvp pen and I am also making matching pocket calendars. I found them for $1.00 each at the imagine this dollar store and you can take out the picture that they have covering the calendar and either stamp on the white background or insert your own cover. These make really nice gift sets. I also found plastic Cube of Paper sets with loose papers in them and a pen slot that you can add stamped paper around the sides to match. I have 7 teachers/teacher assistants to get gifts for this year.

I'm planning on making some all occasion notes and putting them in a stamped paint can. Hmm...should I brave Home Depot today? LOL!

Thanks for all these ideas, ladies! However, since my kindergartner gets her apple moved almost daily I figured her teacher could use the notes to send home with her! LOL!!! I LOVE to get hand stamped cards! Hee Hee!
