I know one of you ladies that are an SU! demo might be able to help me. I am putting together the ink pad caddy that I got as a hostess gift, and I have put the trays on each layer, and they all click together as they should into the knotch for the next tray. I am not at the top, and am trying to put the ink refill tray on, and it sits so high up onto the center metal stem, that now I can't get the handle to screw onto it. I have removed all trays, started all over, to make sure I didn't have one on cockeyed, but they are all together as they should. Why do I not have room now to screw on the handle onto the last tray that holds the refills? any help would be appreciated! Thank you!!
Yes, I have two of them. My first one I got quite a few years ago and it was easier. My last one I got about 3 years ago??? Anyway, I had to push down abit to get the screw up high enough to get the handle on. But, once I did, it worked fine. I've been spinning that thing for 3 years or so!
I also remember putting mine together and having to take something apart and flip it, then everything went together fine. Not sure if this is the problem but worth a look .....oh and I did read the directions and still did it wrong the first time!!! LOL!!
The very same thing happened to me! I re-stacked the trays several times and they would click into place but there was never enough room to screw the handle on, so I gave up and I use it without it. Mine never turned very easy, so I bought a small lazy Susan base and now it spins easily.

There was some discussion on this recently in the demo forums. To summarize, try using two people to push the trays down while screwing in the handle. It will be secure when you hear two clicks.
THANK YOU everyone! I did get it to click, but I don't know if it clicked once, or twice! LOL...if it comes loose, I'll have someone else hold down on it, and I'll turn the handle to make sure it clicks twice. Thanks so much!!
