I was more than ready to get rid of the retired colors except for Summer Sun. It's a perfect match for one of our school colors and nothing else comes closes. After I got rid of all my retired paper, I did miss Taken with Teal and got some from a friend.

Brilliant Blue because it's a perfect match for my kids' schools from elementary through high school and I haven't been able to find anyone else that has anything close (the others are too navy or too greenish). I stocked up before it was gone, but since I've been using it for years and still have quite a few years to go before both my kids are off to college (hopefully with schools that don't use that color!), I'm metering it out and using it for very specific things. Some teacher gifts that would get made with that color now get something that isn't as good of a match (sorry teachers!) I'm using the Brilliant Blue more for my kids school scrapbooks and such instead.
blush blossom! The only one I bought multiple packs off. Then I found out there aren't any other blues like brilliant blue and was really sad, but recently got some off of the giveaway post...
While there were several I thought I would miss, I can honestly say I don't miss any of the retired colors and have not found myself "reaching" for any that I no longer have.
For me it's the same as someone mentioned above. Brilliant blue because it's our school color (along with summer sun, but Gina K. has a yellow that's close enough)
I'm also dreading the day I use my last piece of Barely Banana, Close to Cocoa, and Brocade Blue. I only have a few sheets of the banana and cocoa, but the blue should last a while. However, I'm not hoarding any of these three colors because I'll just move on. SU has replaced the retired colors with a lot of good ones that I like just as much.
But I'll need to hang on to my Brilliant Blue until my youngest graduates.

I'm with you Colleen, I love all of the new colors or should I say colors that are still current and honestly don't miss any of the old colors.

I'm sorry to say although I've purchased the new colors I haven't changed my paper racks and all the old colors are still there. My definite favorite... pink passion...love to use it with only orange or various purples. I actually stocked up on many of the old colors before they were gone...I like to use creamy caramel for cutting out ice-cream cone bases or cupcake bases...haven't found a better substitute.
Crushed Curry and Kiwi Kiss! This past year, I bought several packs of each for $2.99/pk from the SU clearance section. Woo!!! Now, if only I'd use them instead of admiring my stockpile! Lol!

Cool Caribbean, my favorite color of all time. Now that they have Pool Party I'm happy. It's close enough but I still like CC better. I also miss Bordering Blue. They retired it right after I found it. For some reason I never really noticed it.

I really love the new color changes and I don't really miss any of the old colors that much. But I still have the markers, reinkers, and ink pads for the old colors. I would like to have access to other papers that would closely go with my inks and markers. I wonder if paper trey or another company has a list of papers that were very close to the old colors.

I loved the dsp Cottage Wall......and was SHOCKED that it went away........I am very slowing using it...........has to be a very special someone for me to use it on..

I'm the same as Colleen and Barbara...don't really miss any of the old colors...the new ones are too fun to miss the old! I sold all of my retired stuff in a yard sale/BST forum and it looks like I should have kept some and gifted them to a lot of you!!!
I usually let things go too, I like new things. However I do like Mellow Moss and have a few sheets left that I am hanging on to for... I don't know... just so I know I have it, I guess!
I was so sad to see Brilliant Blue go. It is the perfect Chanukah blue for my cards. I tried some PTI colors and the closest color I found was Enchanted Evening. A little flat for what I need but until someone can help me find the Brilliant Blue, I'm going to have to live with it.

NONE of them! I love the color renno and use way more of the current colors now than I had been. I WILL be hoarding peach parfait and ALL of this years in colors when they go!!! They are pretty and fresh! Some of the old colors were dusty and tired IMO!
for me it's close to cocoa which I just love although I don't part withy it often as I don't have much!
Brilliant Blue is another I miss because to me this is a real boyish blue... Although I love all the current blues there is nothing that closely matches this colour which I think is a real shame.
Orchid Opulence & Lavender Lace - we need more lilacs and purples as that's a colour we are really lacking IMO Yes Wisteria is lovely but we need a lighter colour too!
It's hard when colours retire and I am dreading Pear Pizzaz going cause I use it alot!
