apparently, i missed something with the clear mount stamps from SU. mine never stick on the acrylic block, and i'm never able to get a clean image. any tips? thanks!
First tip, never use the stickers. If you've already put them on, carefully peel them off. Some people like to use the stickers. I've done fine without them. If you insist on using them, trim *very* close to the image before peeling them off the backing sheet and adhering. This will expose a little of the backing from the stamp to the acrylic block with no sticker in between--but IMHO, it's not as good as skipping the sticker completely.
Second, I would stick with wood on the small stamp sets, such as Teeny Tiny Wishes. The smaller the stamp, the more difficult it is to get it to stick on the block, even without the stickers.
Good Luck!

I never put the sticker on the stamps. I stick my stickers inside the DVD case. And place my stamps inside the DVD case. This way I will know when one is missing.
Why, Well because I've never gotten those darn stickers to cling to my acrylic blocks.
When using SU clear stamps. I just place the rubber stamp with the cling foam onto my acrylic block and stamp.
i had issues with them too, some are find some need work. I find washing them with a little soapy water and washing the block too sometimes helps. As for the little ones i smeared them with a little ATOO or Tombo multiuse adhesive and let dry. Then I put the sticky side on some fabric and peeled off a few times to make it a little less sticky. They stick to the block and the DVD case, its annoying to have to do but its definitely a good fix at least for the teeny tiny ones.
Another word of advice is to make sure your acrylic blocks are clean. The only time I have had trouble is when I am using Versamark and we all know how sticky that stuff is. I just run a little Snail on the block and it sticks just fine. Of course then I have to get the Snail off the block but recently I have just been leaving it on.

I have issues from time to time. I always keep a bottle Alenes Tack it over and over on my desk. A very thin coating on the sticker, let them dry over night, and you won't have a problem with them not sticking. It works great.
i just unmounted all of my SU sets and used Alene's. I haven't had any problems at all.

This is what I do and it works great! Also, I keep the rubber frame the stamps come in so they are not knocking around in the case too freely. I was a bit worried about losing tiny stamps and this solved stamps jumping out and getting lost.

I have used a piece of tape rounded up in a circle to get them to stick sometimes.....I wish we didn't have to find so many "workarounds" for a product. I wish it just "worked like it should", but thanks to everyone who has offered suggestions.

Totally agree here. This is absolutely the best solution. The other thing I have learned is do not throw away the rubber frame around the stamps. Keep it in the dvd case and keep your stamps in there - like puzzle pieces.
I have had to take the stickers off mine as well. Not really happy that I had to do that but I can't get them to stick otherwise :( Other than that...I find that mine stamp well enough. I do love the wood mounted ones but the cling mounts are less expensive and take up less space so I order them and cringe each time I ink up a new one

I like the stickers on the stamps. I do what Tropicalsmiles does and it works great. Be sure your block is super clean. Press the stamp on the block for about 10 seconds. Works great.

Cathy just as an aside, I love your signature line about meows and aloha! So cute ;)
I also trim my stickers and I make sure that I don't strech the label. If you stretch the label the stamp curls up and it won't stick to the block. For some, I use a little swipe of Tombow Mono on the label, let it dry before putting back in the case.
All else fails, don't use the sticker.
Also, do you know about using the negative rubbler to store you stamps. This is the part you normally throw away. Pull the paper backing off and stck the rubber in the case and then put the stamps back in their holes. It helps the stamp keep it shape and you know if you are missing any stamps.
If it's possible, I not only trim very close to the edge of the stickers, but also I trim away any "negative space" on the inside of the sticker. Gives it more "stick". I also have this same non-sticking issue with a Hero Arts background cling stamp (with a very large sticker on the back).
if you push down the block onto the stamp hold for about 10 seconds...should stick no problems
i have never had an issue yet doing it this way...
My demo just did a workshop for me and she did this to her cling mount. It stayed on thru six different people handling it to do thier stamping on their project.
She also suggested using the rubber negative inside the case so you can see at a glance if you have all stamps accounted for.
I personally don't like cling mounts set up like this, but in some instances I don't have a choise eg - Stampendous Jumbos, some Hero Arts stamps and the newer Tim Holtz sets. They all need a bit of extra attention with the sticking issue. Going are the days of just slapping the EZ mounted stamps onto my acrylic block, lol.
I love using the rubber negative to keep track of things. Makes it so much easier.
Also, once you have the sticker on the back, use a clean, wet washcloth to wipe them all off, there is sometimes a film from the factory that makes them less sticky. You can also use warm mild soapy water to clean them.
