This is strange, could it be an allergy?

Every time I touch rubber stamps, I can taste the rubber on my lips, and the smell seems to give me a slight headache. Does this happen to anyone else? :confused:

I've never heard of that kind of reaction, but a latex allergy isn't uncommon, and I'd bet there's some latex in rubber stamps.

I'm allergic to certain scents, so that makes sense to me. Not sure about the taste of rubber in your mouth. Do rubber bands do the same thing?

YES! as a mater of fact they do! I notice it when I braid my daughters hair in "many, many braids" (she loves that wild wavy look the next morning ) I use those small rubber bands on the ends.
So weird! and the tastes of rubber stays on my lips for hours.

Could you try wearing non-latex gloves, maybe cotton ones,and see if that helps? Maybe if you don't actually touch them?
