How do you store your unmounted rubber stamps? Like your bellas, pink cat studio stamps, etc? I thought I had read somewhere to store them in acrylic cd cases, so I bought a bunch and they don't fit! The stamps are too thick for the cd case to close. I do have the stamps mounted on a cushion (ez mount). I'm a total newbie to the unmounted stamps. Right now they're in a ziploc baggie until I can figure out how to store them better! I know embarassing! :( Help!
Make sure you are using the regular cd cases not the slim one. With the reg. ones you pull the center out and the you should have plenty of room. If you have some with no cushion on you can put stamps on both sides of the cd case.
I personally use the CD cases because I've filled up three drawers (2 rows each) of an iris cart. I have found them still at Staples and Walmart but you can order them in bulk cheaper.
I put them on ez-mount boards ($1 each) and those into 3-ring binders. I have about 100 stampin up sets in 6 books on a shelf on my book shelf. I love this way of storing them, and I have them categorized by set type. IE. holiday, floral, etc.
I buy my supplies from http://yvonnealbritton.com
She's got great prices and treats her customers wonderfully!

i buy mostly SU! sets, so my initial storage was designed with that in mind. once i started buying other type stamps [like, acrylic: PaperTrey Ink; bare rubber: Rubber Romance; ez-mounted: Cornish Heritage Farms and Stamping Bellas] i started looking for additional storage. i wanted these new stamps together with my SU! sets because it's easier to see what i have, so, for my bare rubber sets [that i typically mount on ez-mount foam] and the sets that come on foam i've found clamboxes similar to the SU! ones. the fit into my standard storage area with my SU! sets, but the boxes are half as thick. my ez-mount stamps/sets stick to both the top and bottom of the boxes. LOVE it! i'm adding a few pics to my gallery now...
i didn't care for the CD cases. even the regular size ones don't hold that many ez-mounted stamps. they're perfect for acrylics...
I bought some wonderful plastic boxes from Flourishes to store mine. They are deep enough to store EZ Mounted stamps on both sides, and they snap shut securely.
Now I'm reminded that I have to order another twelve boxes, as I have an order from High Hopes coming soon!

Ok, so if I go the CD case route you take out the part that the CD would normally rest on, correct? I hadn't tried that, so that might make the difference. I did know not to buy slim ones, however the regular cd cases are getting hard to find! Thanks for some of the other ideas and the thread link, I knew this had been discussed before, I just couldn't find a recent thread about it.
I'm so used to SU clamshells, but I'm trying to explore some other stamp companies and I LOVE the clear blocks!

I couldn't find these on the flourishes website, do you remember what category they're under? This seems like a great idea and I wanted to look into it!
As i have a TON to store I very quickly realized CD cases wouldn't work for me.
I use transparency sheets slipped into page protectors that I store in a standard 3" binder. I remove the foam and rubber off any stamps and apply a super thin layer of Aileens Tack it Over and Over to the back of the rubber. Then they stick just fine on acrylic blocks.
Brandi,
They seem to be out of stock at the moment, but are usually found under Card-Making Essentials. They should have more in shortly. I need to order another dozen.

First off your CD cases should be the Thicker ones. The New slim style will NOT work for the unmounted Rubber stamps..Also make sure you take out the middle insert.
