Default Stampy packing for vacation

Help! Brain dead. Here's the deal. I'm having a valentine making get together today. We're preparing for a major master bath reno. I'm "liberating" stuff to take to my cousin's charity yard sale in Florida. AND I'm packing for vacation.

On this vacation, I'm planning to stamp with friends one night (for which I need to take a project to share) attend a class with each of two different teachers, AND make birthday card samples for an upcoming workshop.

WHAT do I pack? Would rather not take BS, but do I precut just random pieces in case? Do I pre emboss something? At a total loss & Can't focus. And I've never done a "shoebox" swap and don't know how to prep for it.

Advice?

Perhaps a LSS will let you use their die cutting equipment. One of the scrapbook stores we had here would let you use their die cutter and dies if you bought the cardstock you wanted to cut from them. Maybe a company down there will rent you a BS or Cuttlebug while you're there.

Just what I can think of off the top of my head...

Wow!! That is a lot!! I guess for now I would just get ready for the Valentine thing since that's today. You said "we" for the bath reno, so for that one I would just beg the other person (your DH or whomever) to take care of it all, calling you only if they need your help specifically to move stuff or whatever. I'm guessing you're short on time, so I would forget about packing and liberating right now and after the Valentine thing, steal an idea from it to make the project/friends-night/shoebox card(s). And then steal other ideas from the Valentine thing to make birthday card samples (use gifts or cupcakes etc. instead of hearts for example).

When you have a more concrete idea of the cards that you will be making, then you'll know more about what to pack, and not have to just cut or emboss random pieces.

When you get stuck on a stamping idea then get up and go "liberate" stuff for a little while and then come back.

Pack for vacation near the last hours, unless you have two of everything (two toothbrush, two combs, etc.). I have found this to be easiest, unless you are content with having to live out of your packed baggage until you actually leave. ('cause when I pack early I find myself continuously going back to the baggage to get a comb to use, and then my toothbrush, and ...well, you get the idea).

Best wishes!
