Talking Stamps

Hi guys! One of my friends made some eraser stamps and I started making them also. The thing is she makes some stamps with erasers, but others weren't made using eraser. Unfortunately I can't ask her, they have a little bit of a thickness I thought it might be made of glue. I don't know, so can someone please tell me how these are made? There is a picture in my album of it. I would love to make some!

-Thanks

I don't see anything in your gallery. But I am wondering if she used one of the home photo-polymer stamp kits like this one ?

Hi, you can use polymer clay to make stamps, and I guess if you had some sort of mold you could use glue. Glue would be quite flexible, whereas the polymer clay is less flexible but gives really sharp images. You could play around with both till you were happy with what you have.

I think there is a foam also you can use that makes up to stamps too.

It might have been a kit, I don't know. Yeah I will try those three out and see. Thank you both!

I'm sorry it's in my albums, not gallery. If you know how it's made please tell me. It might have been a kit, I don't know. Yeah I think I might try those out and see. Thank you both!

Mackenzie,
it looks like the image was stamped in versamark and then heat embossed with black ultra thick embossing powder.
It looks like it's on a tight weaved micro fiber type of material.

I'd try go with that....you'd have much better luck I think stamping an image made that way with Stazon ink..rather than a dye based ink..as I'm certain it would bead up on the embossed image.

BTW, my MacKenzie wigged out when she saw another Mackenzie was on here...she know thinks you are the coolest! lol

But albums are in galleries , and I don't see any album either
I'd love to know what Fairskinnedgoddess saw and where!

That's so weird! I tried every way to find it - clicking on the link in your profile here, in the member list.
Now that I can see it, I'd agree with Fairskinnedgoddess totally. It looks to me as if it had been stamped on one of those craft sheets, some of them have that kind of weave. But it's such a shallow impression - I'd hate to have to try inking it up, unless it's used some other way.
Thanks for the link and letting me see it .

Goodness - it's the first time I've seen anyone post stuff in an album in their profile like that - you live and learn!! I'd assumed you meant an album in your gallery, which is where I'd normally look for stuff.
