I am visiting family near LaPorte, IN this weekend. I could have sworn I saw a stamp store listing in this town in a recent magazine. I didn't bring the magazine with me. And, a websearch is coming up empty. Does anyone know of a local stamp store near here??? I'd really appreciate anyone's help, as I am going through major stamping withdrawal....I've been on the road away from home for almost 3 weeks now, with no stamping or card making! Thanks everyone!
There IS a stamp store in LaPorte. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of it, but it's near the downtown area. It's one street west of the main drag, which I think is Lincolnway, north of the center of town. Look in the local phone book when you get to LaPorte. It's not really big, but she has some cute stamps. There used to also be a small store in New Buffalo, Michigan, which is about a 1/2 hour away from LaPorte. In South Bend/Mishawaka, there's Pages in Time, which is a very large, mainly scrapbooking store. It's probably about 45-1 hour from LaPorte.
There is a stamp store in Laporte. It's called "Stamping on State Street"

cute little store. Besides stamps, ink and paper she has some embelishments and scrapping items.
Someone mentioned a store in New Buffallo, MI -- it's closed so don't go.
The store in Mishawaka is Pages in Time -- very cool store. Large, it's mainly scrapbooking but they do have stamps, ink etc.
Have fun. I don't live too far from Laporte but I'm in Indy this weekend or I'd meet up with you.
If you like authentic mexican foood there is a place right around the corner from the stamp store called Colima (301 Lincolnway). Very good but they are closed on Sun.

Thank you all, somewhat belatedly, for your help and suggestions! I did get to the store in LaPorte and spent a tidy little sum! Seems like a healthy little store with very supportive customers as evidenced by the popular card swaps and card crops. I look forward to visiting it again next time I am visiting my relatives!
I don't get their too often because of my work schedule; but really love Melody's store - "Stamping on State Street". Awesome place and well worth the visit!
