If I place an order through the Stampin Up website, does my demonstrator get credit for my order and about how long does an order take to be shipped once it is placed.
My demonstrator is out of town so I can't ask her these questions.
She will get the credit. I can tell you that I went to a party on a Saturday and placed an order, then I placed an order on a demo's website the following Thursday morning and still got that order faster than I got the stuff from the party! I believe I got a shipping confirmation either the same day or the next morning on the website order. I was really impressed. When you go through a party, you have to wait for the demo to place the order, then it gets shipped to her, then she gives it to the hostess to deliver to you. At least that's how my demo does it. The whole process takes like 2 weeks! The website was waaaaaaaay faster.

Wow, My demo, who is also a good friend gets our orders to us in less than a week. We place our order or Saturday of our workshop and we have it in our anxious little hands on Thursday. Can't beat that.
Infact today I am expecting Saturdays order and sometimes she even delivers it to me at my place of work.

How quickly you get your orders depends on where it is being shipped to. Those on the East Coast have a little longer shipping time.
I know from the time I place the order with SU it will take about 10 to 12 days to get to me. Sometimes even a bit longer - depends on it there is a popular promotion or something like that going on.
Make sure you order from HER demo site tho- otherwise, just designating her on your order via the SU site won't give you the best price and your demo won't get full credit. It's a little confusing.
As a SU demonstrator I've never gotten my orders in Miami in less than 7 business days. If I want something faster like a 2 day delivery, that adds $20 to the bill.
So it really does matter where you live as to how quickly you get the order. I try to place my weekend orders at least by Monday or Tuesday morning, so they will get here by the next week. My customers understand. They have dealt with Scrapbook/Stamp stores where it would take ages or never get ordered in time.
The best way to order is through your demonstrator directly or through her own SU demonstrator website. If it is to count for a workshop or club, it has to be through her directly. There is no provision for getting credit to the hostess on the website.
There are so many great items in the new SU mini catalog, be sure to check them out on the SU website.
You HAVE to order from her Demonstrator website...if you just go to Stampin Up and order, even if you choose her as your demo for the preferred pricing she will not get credit and you will not get hostess benefits. Her demo website should be something like www.yourdemo'sname.stampinup.net For instance, mine is www.saucystamping.stampinup.net. It is NOT www.stampinup.com. I just want to make that clear, its no fun when customers miss out on hostess benefits by accidentally ordering on the wrong site.
Traditional order through demo: best price, best shipping, get hostess rewards, demo gets full commission
Order through your demo's website: best price, best shipping, get hostess rewards, demo gets full commission
Order through SU.com, designating your demo: best price, higher shipping, no hostess rewards, demo gets full commission IF she has a demo website, if she does not, she gets only half commission
Order through SU.com but don't want any demo: 10% higher price, higher shipping, partial commission is split among all demos with website
It is confusing, but it encourages customers to choose a personal demo rather than just order from SU and take sales away from demos.
