What really cool stamp stores are in the Austin/San Marcos/San Antonio area? Are they cool enough to save my money and not order from the addictedtorubberstamp Labor Day sale? We're going to San Marcos for 4 days next weekend and I'd like to go shopping. If there's nothing extra special that y'all can recommend I'll probably place an order tonight for some sale stuff.
Thanks for the shopping help!!!
Paula
There is a very nice store in south Austin:
Memory Depot www.memorydepotonline.com
Brodie Oaks Shopping Center

Austin, TX 78704

Round Rock has a scrapbook store right off I-35 at the highway 79 exit. It is in the same shopping center as Gattiland. It is really nice, but didn't have any stamps last time I went in. They do have a nice paper selection though and embellishments. The store isn't too crowded either.
Also in Round Rock (but about 5 miless off of I-35) is a new scrapbook store that was suppose to open this weekend. It was scrapstop before and now it is reopening under new management. Scrapstop was small but it was packed with all sorts of stuff. I didn't get a chance to get to the new place this weekend though. PM me if you want directions.
There is another one in Cedar Park off of 1431 (which connects to 35) that is easy to find. haven't been there in about a year, but it was full of paper last time I was there.
I am planning a trip to the Austin area for the scrapbook expo and was also curious to know if any scrapbook/stamp stores in the area worth going to. So if any one has any more ideas that would be wonderful!
I'll be sure to mark down the ones already listed.
Also for any of those in Austin - I will take any suggestions for what malls to go to, resturants or any must see attractions! The visitor's guide was a bit lacking. Plus it just starts get overwhelming with so many options and limited time!
What are you gonna be doing in San Marcos for 4 days?
Relaxing.
We have friends in San Marcos and we're just going to hang out at their place for a few days. I think we're going to float down the river on Friday and then probably kick around Austin and San Antonio for a Saturday or Sunday. My friend has her first professional acting job since graduating on Monday and we're going to see it. We'll also be spending hours at Half Price Books. We don't have them here and Bridget works there.
