My friend is going on a trip to USA (We live in Finland) and has been trying to find some stores in San Francisco. Allthough she WONT take me in her luggage (soooo unfair) I desided to ask my fellow stampers to help! Do you know any good stores? Shes into stamping, but bigger the store the better I think, lol
Or is there a place that would deliver to her hotel if she made the order online? She will also go to Los Angeles and New York, but will stay shorter time in those. And about those Michaels and the coupons, how do you get one? And if theres any other tips you might have? They have a 15 year old boy whith them, so if you know good places to go, tips will be apprisiated!
My DS lives in San Fran, and while neither he nor his GF are stampers, she's an artsy kind of gal. When I was out last, we went to Dick Blick's, not a stamp store but they have lots of other things to make a stamper happy for a very long time. They might even have had a small stamp section, I don't remember. I was too busy drooling over the Copics ... LOL!

I can suggest some places here in Santa Clara County, Scrapbook Island, San Jose, is one (huge store with tons of paper and all sorts of stamps and other items.) San Francisco I am not sure of though....

To get the coupons sign up online to get them. With Michael's coupons they're usually good for a week.......so she will need to be able to print them.
There are a lot of things to do in San Fran and LA....it's a matter of picking one. Visiting Alcatraz, the pier. . . w/LA everything is so spread out...there's Universal Studio Walk & Universal Studio (my niece and nephew from the east coast really enjoyed it).
There are two Paper Source locations in San Francisco. One is in the Filmore, and the other is in the Marina. The one in the Marina is bigger, and has a better selection of products and ideas.
Across the bay in Concord is a Super Joanns and in Berkeley there is Scrapbook Territory. Both are huge stores. Check on line for coupons for Joanns and Michaels.
For the son, there is Six Flags Marine World in Vallejo and in Santa Clara there is Great America. How about a baseball game in San Francisco if the Giants are at home?
In San Francisco there are several Bay cruises to enjoy, Angel Island, Alcatraz, The California Academy of Science and so much more. North of the bay is Muir Woods National Monument (beautiful Redwoods).
And most of all, there is the beautiful California coastline.
A little further north is the beautiful wine country in Sonoma and Napa counties.
It really is! Great store with lots & LOTS of product.
There's another FABULOUS store that I go to, but it's in Elk Grove (closer to Sacramento) called Stamper's Corner. They carry so many stamps it's almost mind-numbing. Entire WALLS of clear stamps and wood-mount stamps, all the latest papers, & Tim Holtz goodies. It's a beautiful store.

subbing b/c I just moved out here to Mountain View and want to know where the goods are
Mountain View?! Lucky you. You should check out Cranberry Hill Mercantile in Sunnyvale. They have tons of stuff for stampers. Seriously...TONS!!

I love Stamper's Corner. Carol and her girls are awesome and her store is fabulous!
Found this thread as I will be visiting San Francisco in November and need to find some fun things to do while my hubs is at a conference. In addition to stamping I love quilting too. Thanks for any ideas.
