Hi! I'm visiting these places for an upcoming conference and wondering if there are any suggestions you have for "must-see" stamp stores? In my research on this forum I found "Stampers Ink", so I will go there for sure, but any others I shouldn't miss out on? Much thanks!
I am on the email list for Stampers Ink and am so impressed by their classes and card samples. I would definitely go there. There used to be a store in Columbia (I'd Rather Be Stamping), but, sadly, it went out of business a few years ago. I'm on the other side of the state, so I can't tell you much about that area. There is a stamp/scrap store in Lee's Summitt, which is a suburb of KC, too. It's called The Stamp Patch. It's been quite a while ago, but it also had a great selection of items.
Sadly, there aren't any stamp/scrapping stores in Columbia besides Michaels/Hobby Lobby/JoAnn's. Hobby Lobby is the better choice in this town. It's really too bad, too, that all our privately owned craft stores went out of business, because there really a lot of paper crafters in our community. Hope you enjoy our town while you're here, though. Columbia does have a lot to offer.

Visit Archivers for sure. We have the usual Hobby Lobby, Joannes, Michaels. Also, the Stamp Patch, in Lee's Summit is a nice little store.
I go to the Archivers in Kansas at 119th and Metcalf which is really just a short drive across the state line. Right in that area they a noce Michaels, Hobby Lobby and Joannes.

: I started stamping just when the stamp store here in Columbia went out of business. Michaels looks like they are trying to pick up the slack with their remodeling.
Columbia does have a lot to offer, but unfortunately not if you're hoping to find some neat craft stores.
I wouldn't bet on Michael's having much to offer in Columbia if you visit their store. I was in it a couple of weeks ago and it was a mess. Apparently they are doing massive remodelling.
Yes, Stamper's Ink for sure...tell Tanya that you are SCSer!
I have tried to go to the Stamp Patch several times, but I always call ahead when I'm in the area and they have always been closed. That doesn't mean they don't have good hours - I just am always in that area at very odd times ;)
And Archiver's - there is also one up close to the airport and Zona Rosa. I generally go to 119th and Metcalf, as well.
When are you coming to town? We are having a SCS/Copic Marker free get-together this Thursday night!
